Good speaker. Love it. Got some pretty good bass to it as well. If mine broke today, I'd go buy another one. Doesn't really float though like they suggest it does.

I love mine..pretty bad design flaw tho that the bass speakers ether side don’t have protective mesh over them..any1 know where I can buy covers?

I've found the radiators don't need protection and the hard plastic covering is enough, the motion boom I have has had some serious abuse over the last year and it still going strong.

How does this compare to a JBL flip 5? Anyone got both?

This absolutely destroys it. But obviously it’s way bigger.

Just trying to compare this with the Motion+ model which used to often be around thids price, that I have too which produces a great sound

Seems the Motion+ freq range is 50 Hz to 40 kHz whereas this 60hz-20khz so far less range

So think I'll wait on another Motion+

    edit:

Hmmm conflictinfo on its own product description

Marketing nonsense - humans can only hear upto 20Khz and music is specifically recorded up to that max frequency. As we get older we start to have reduced top frequency hearing and typically adults can only hear upto 17Khz. Bottomline is the version that claims to go from 20Khz to 40Khz is a total gimic so stick with the 20Khz varirant that you can actually hear!

Isn't this almost always £65 either discounted or with voucher? I'd put money on this being £65 or less on Prime day

Yep. And as soon as the deal is expired, a new one pops up.

It's a good speaker though. (edited)

Got this for 50 something pound as factory reconditioned (was brand new in box)
Hands down the BEST speaker you will get sub £100 (edited)

I think the gadget show on ch 5 reviewed it on this weeks episode. Think it did better than a more expensive JBL, but not as good as a Sony. But their reviews are very odd.

I bought one when the last deal was on. I'm very pleased with the sound, volume and bass. Well worth it at this price.

    Heat.

I like it but I don’t think it’s worth the price, the next one down is about £40 and it’s really good for the price, this isn’t worth nearly double, I would happily pay £50 only my opinion, thanks for posting.

    Which one?

Not a deal. This price atleast once a month
    mcav's avatar
Which is a good price. That makes it a deal.

Is this or the boom plus better for clarity?

This is as much as you should ever spend for this speaker. It is however very good, with more than reasonable sounds quality, particularly if you tweak the mid ranges a bit. The battery lasts for ages.

Great value for £70, have this and battery last for ages. Regularly take to bbq and park, great quality for the price

Can attest to this as I have one of these bad boys too. Toying with the idea of getting a second one to pair with the current one to get surround sound.

Got this today and am really impressed so far. Thinking of getting another but this clocks up around 115dB so it’s pretty loud. Not sure need another for indoors. Be handy to use in garden though.
