Should have gone to Specsavers.
The styling looks fairly normal for a running shoe? What's happened...
I don’t work for them so I have no clue (embarrassed)
That’s some ugly merch.
I think that's what they call a non-answer ;) I have a store within ten minutes' walking distance, so I'd be a fool to pay the £5 pick-up charge when I can simply walk there :)
Maybe. Best thing is to just have a look :)
Really? I thought some of the men’s stuff had larger sizes as well
Your welcome! (y)
Thanks for posting, OP!

I agree total rip off
They're delivery/collection system is a *****take
Saw this managed to get 2 pairs ordered, was then waiting for despatch email, so they cancel 1 of them and then despatch the 2nd, ok I think annoying but it is what it is. SO I Look on the website guess qhat the exact pair of shoes in the exact size with same code is still for sale but at a higher price than I ordered - so im thinking they are just an absolute cowboy outfit. ~Its disgusting shoes were available and in stock when ordered. Then they send me the cancellation email and I check online and they are still available but at higher price £25 instead of £15, and I would have to pay delivery charge again - it really is pathetic customer service !!! on top of that you can't even call and speak to a human being, tried a couple of the online numbers and they all say we are experience high volume blah blah, and cuts you off !! Pathetic as usual. Complete sub standard effort from a sub standard company !! If they respond back to any emails I'll update you guys !!
on line only its the outlet
Says online only
(y) Can you get thise prices in store collect, pay cash ect
I just picked mine up and along with the paper receipt was a £5 voucher valid for 2 years.
Anyone know how the £5 works? I picked mine up from store today and no sign of a voucher in the box or via email.
No grass at all? Seems strange, also it'd be best to check with the school as the astro may be 3g so can wear bladed boots, which would also work on grass...
Damn, thought I'd go in-store and have a look, came back and the price as gone back up
What am I missing? Showing £32 for me?:/
Mine arrived in store today. Very good value.
Oh mine was processed yesterday, should come tomorrow if I'm lucky (y)
Wednesday I think it was?
When did yours get processed? I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered
Wilson Woven Skirt Ladies - £5.99 https://www.sportsdirect.com/wilson-woven-skirt-ladies-639387?colcode=63938702
No it isn't
That's easier said than done, an additional 2000 jobs would be hard to find these days, it's hard enough for the unemployed, without adding to it.
They don't have to go on the dole, they can go and find other jobs
If it makes you feel better there's another sports direct half a mile away so staff will probably just be transferred
Heat for extra discount but its a shame if its really closing. I thought that SD would be immune to the high street slaughter
I recently purchased my first road bike from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vilano-Aluminium-Road-Speed-Black/dp/B015J4LT10?ref_=Oct_CARAsinC_550029011_0&pf_rd_p=626c9d00-9f2e-5016-82a6-8b78920c5b0f&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-5&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_i=550029011&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=9Z6133KRKDVQDBA2Q290&pf_rd_r=9Z6133KRKDVQDBA2Q290&pf_rd_p=626c9d00-9f2e-5016-82a6-8b78920c5b0f for £180 worth looking at
Puh that's a tough one really, all those comments confused me :( I was looking to buy this, as ~£150 seems like a good deal and I'm really looking to get a cheap communiting bike, as twice per year in our garage bikes get stolen as well, so not too keen to spend too much, even though I have a good lock :) Now people here are recommending buying the Muddyfox Race 200 instead. £50 more might not seem like a lot indeed, but it's essentially a 35% extra on the price, is that worth it? I read through the details and can't figure out where exactly the benefit lies? I don't understand too much about the casette either tbh, no idea what that actually means :(
I feel you're missing the point I was trying to make. If all you're looking at is spoke count then you'd think a 32 spoke wheel is going to be more durable than a 24 spoke wheel. That's not necessarily true. Looking at the website you linked (some awful spelling on there!) it says: "You might have the best components for a wheel but if the building or design is poor then the wheel will be of a poor quality. Strength, firmness, hight spoke tension, uniform spoke tension, stress relieve are all attributes of bombproof wheels that are associated with durability and reliability." He makes the point I made originally. What determines the durability of a wheel first and foremost is how it's built. And that is the issue with cheap wheels as found on this bike - it has 32 spokes in a standard 3 cross pattern and it will be heavy so you'd think reasonably strong. But they will quickly go out of true because they will have been poorly built. Conversely Shimano's bottom of the range rear wheel has only 24 spokes and the reviews are glowing as to how it stays so true.
Bikes are designed to last a reasonable length of time 7 years or more and a bike certified to only a 85kg rider will not instantly fail if a 110kg rider gets on. Aluminium always gets weaker with time as its used, it doesn't have an endurance limit so what might start off a very strong frame in year one could be close to failure in year three with a heavy rider. Sometimes it reads like people expect a frame to fail if a 100kg rider gets on it but the reality is the damage of that rider weight would take sometime to crack the frame. Carbon is a different story they seem to fail with any weight depending on how lucky you are with the quality of the frame, I'm sure heavier riders massively increase the chance of failure but you could have 2 people buying identical bikes and one fails for the 70kg rider and the other lasts without problems for the 100kg rider such is the inconsistent nature of carbon frames.
You need quality rims as well. but spoke count is key here... At least this is what i was told when I was having my own set of wheels built for me for the first time. you could have shoddy rims but they might hold up fairly well because you have enough spokes to support the weight. All my wheels are handmade by this guy.. Sapim spokes, DT Swiss/H Plus Son Rims, DT Swiss Hubs and i cant remember what the other was. I never ride stock wheels, especially mavics because their quality has gone down the pooper in the last 10 years. They do make some strong rims though if you have 20 spokes on the front and 24 on the back its going to put a lot of pressure on the spokes/rims to support someone whose 13stone+ and any extra equipment he may be carrying for touring/camping etc etc etc -- easily another 10--25kg if not more. what about the terrain? More spokes are better when it comes to mixed terrain though youre welcome to disagree with me as much as you wish. It is as simple as it is, there is no need to overcomplicate it. Its all BS. With the manufacturers recommended weight requirements all carbon bikes and some Alu bikes would be sold to racing snakes. who fit in the 13 stone and under bracket. Its a loose guideline but its not something that should be taken as gospel or strictly adhered to. Like i said in my previous comment. Google the words 'big bloke, carbon fiber bike' There hundreds of forums debunking this myth that people over 13 stone (Closer to 16 stone..) shouldnt be riding carbon bikes. Ive asked the same questions myself in these forums and have always had the same answer. Unless youre on the extreme side of the scale weight wise. There is nothing to fear.
This is a good price for the size @Jay_Shakespeare thanks for sharing :)
Nice ! Heated
I'm not a brand snob, I shop in SD all the time. Some good prices on trainers and the Slazanger T-shirts 3 for a £10 are a goos bargain. The fit well and last ok.
Bunch of cowboys.
I get a great bargain on my Lonsdale Polo Shirts. They're reduced from £49.99 to £4.99. What a saving!
That's SD normal Quality........ Rubbish
Standard price for cheap rubbish.
"unless you buy for £50 or more then its free" can I ask where you got that info ? I dont think SD have offered free delivery when you spend £50 for a long time.
SD Always cold on HUKD
I hate Sports Direct, worst customer service ever.
Ooo look at rich boy over here in his civic, meanwhile I'll be roaming around on my ped relieving people of their heavy valuables. I love doing a service for my community but I can't do that unless I wear my tracksuit uniform
These do look like a ok ish deal, but shame most don't get that the name gives you a clue into what they are used for "Tracksuit" .
Ordered. Looking forward to wear this with no tshirt while driving my 99 honda civic typeR. Chavstastic!
Oh yeah time to get my chav on 😄
With some sticky back plastic you might be in with a chance to make a sink. Good effort (y)
Found a cake tin some kitchen foil yankee candles and a plastic kids tea set. :o
That’s a good price as well. Good spot.
Talk about increasing their reach !
Philips kettle for £10? https://www.sportsdirect.com/mv-ss-kettle-961174?colcode=96117490
Yeh that no refund but store credit is a real pain. Hate stores that do that rubbish
Zero hour contracts. No refunds just store credit.Stores are cluttered and staff unhelpful.
Sounds like they've cleaned their act up and to be fair compared with Foxconn in China this is lightweight stuff.......not gonna stop me buying my boy cheap Nike boots. Look at any company in closer detail, especially at supply chain level and you'll find dirt!
Not a fan but there not bad for footy boots that’s about it
Read the news or Google then you'd wonder no more (popcorn)
