If you’ve ever made your own lemoncello and accidentally left the pith on, that kind of bitter. It is made with orange pith.

Amaro is Italian for bitter. Don't buy this thinking you'll be gulping it like Bailey's. As a digestif it's an acquired taste, but it's excellent in cocktails.
