Critics Consensus
While it's nowhere near as thrilling as turtle tipping your way to 128 lives, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a colourful -- albeit thinly plotted -- animated adventure that has about as many Nintendos as Nintendon'ts. Read critic reviews

    Really enjoyed this film.

Me and my 6 year old watched it all the way through without him once going “is it nearly finished” so must have been good

It was 5 year old’s first film in the cinema. Did not disappoint. We were given a free A3 poster for the film when we went to see it on release day. I have framed it in his room and hopefully he will cherish the memory for a lifetime.

I wish I was kidding when I say I preferred the 1993 live action film, but I guess that's just where we are now.
