Is orange juice not a more efficient way of getting Vitamin C?
    Tanweeralqarni's avatar
    Apparently not enough in oranges?

It is a very good deal. I wonder why this is not hot.

Its not hot because they are not available. says there's stock but at checkout says there isn't

Per the description this is Sugar mostly, with added vitamin C, but the best type of vitamin C that you properly absorb is not even this one. So I wouldn't buy it, even for this price.

    Which one is the best?

Quite common with the chewable ones it seems, here is the ingredients of the first 2 other chewables I’ve found:

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), Bulking Agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose), Anti-Caking Agent (Magnesium Stearate).

    Full ingredients

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), Bulking Agent (Microcrystalline Cellulose), Anti-Caking Agents (Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide), Glazing Agents (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose), Rosehip Fruit Extract (Rosa canina), Humectant (Glycerol).

Went in store and tried to pay for them, scanned at £7.99. Told they can’t change the price. So I place a click and collect order, pay for it and they say it takes a while to update on their system. I go back to the store 1hr later after running some errands and I’m told someone else bought the lot. What a joke. Despite having the product in hand and paying for it I wasn’t allowed to take it and they gave the stock to another customer. Will avoid in future, all their stock is overpriced and I’m surprised they haven’t been done for misleading customers with practices such as doubling the RRP and offering buy one get one free…

You should have hidden it behind the Durex then collected it later

Has anyone ever felt any different taking vitamins... it's just a racket

Probably psychological... but I used to get a cold three or four times a year.
I hate colds and suffer horrible man-flu.
Started popping vitamin c everyday a couple of years ago. Haven't had a cold since. (edited)

    Thanks for posting!

Store stock checker showed "Out of Stock" at our local stores for this and selenium with vit c, a & e.

Went into one of the local store to do other shopping. Found 2 of chewable vit C on the shelf showing full price. Took them to the checkout and the casher asked for 50p for 2 bottles. There was only 1 bottle of Selenium showing full price on shelf but I was charged 32p.

Did they not scan as 3 for 2 on mix and match?

I was always curious about why people would buy Vitamin C, when it's so easy to get enough with oranges and such.

Apparently 5% of Brits have Vitamin C deficiency, though...

Cheap for those who wanna buy it. Hot.

Same reason protein shakes exist when chicken does I would imagine.

Where do the ingredients come from , oranges ?
