New to this. Does this require a controller or batteries?

That's right, you'll need to buy a controller, battery and charger separately

Looks good but not sure if I'm up for painting it

Remembering from when I was much younger, you just spray the inside of the clear shell. And trim it with scissors to fit. Decals just stick on the outside. It couldn't be much easier.

Thanks. Going to go for the Carson controller. Any battery pack and charger you can recommend?

Built the DeAgostini magazine issues Richard Burns Subaru many years ago for around £200 in total and don't think it's turned a wheel in anger since

Still have my Bush Devil up in my parents loft, the tyres have crumbled away though. Monster Beetle was the one that was super desirable back in the day.

I use to have a Nikko one from Argos as a kid. Could customise the motors etc. This is tempting (edited)

Fantastic price. Thank you so much for posting. Been thinking about one on and off for years, almost went for it at £100. This has just sealed it for me. Will be looking forward to building.

Bought as great deal, god knows when it will turn up but chances are ill of forgotten about it and it will be a great surprise used to race buggies as a kid and loved building the kits so will be a a good £70 spent to relive some memories

Really cool! I'd be tempted if I hadn't bought an RTR last year in the form of the Wltoys 124008
