Clearance tablet, seems reasonable specs for the price, still very much a budget tablet that would likely be more suited for children - in comparison to Amazon fire seems to be at least on par.

Good specs for the price but the lack of Widevine DRM Level 1 and Netflix in 480p is the dealbreaker for me.

Totally agree. Had a TCL "pro" phone in the past and couldn't even watch Prime in HD on it. Had to sell it on.

The problem with cheap tablets is more often than not they're really really really bad.

Voted hot. In comparison with the other tablets posted today on HUKD, I think I prefer this one.

    Only 32GB buddy.
EDIT : I the "specifications" lower down on the deal page says 64gb. So which is it? (edited)

    As has been stated, this does not have a Snapdragon processor, but a Mediatek;

hmm that one has 64, is it the wrong one then?
Oh a typo on the sales page.
its a MediaTek MT8788 not a SD btw. (edited)

Looks so. Thought I saw the 6GB Ram version.

Battery life still has a hint of a SD chip. Maybe it changed spec too?
Edit - most likely Snapdragon. (edited)

    Processor
    MediaTek MT8788
    Octa-Core (4 x Cortex-A73 2.0GHz, 4 x Cortex-A53 2.0GHz)

    From TCL.

Is it better than the Amazon tablet (fire 10)? I mean it's not Amazon bound, looks alright. (edited)

Pretty sure this is 64GB. Screen looks decent, software is old tho!

The Amazon UK specs must be imports then. They state Snapdragon, at least from the two I saw.

Good to know our resident experts knows.

Never rely solely on specs listed on retailer websites, especially with amazon, argos, currys / pc world, and other similarly big retailers. They frequently get specs wrong. Always double check the manufacturers website and hope they got it right.

Its a Mediatek Helio P60 which is old as the feh, this model is nearly 3 years old.

Same as Amazon's previous gen ones and it you put both in front of me Amazon all the way. TCL are a shocking bad company.

I have a TCL tab hd 4g , and while I occasionally want to smash it to little pieces in the most brutal way possible because it sometimes stalls, it does do basic stuff. With this have a far better ppi and faster processor, I think this would be not as smash inducing.

With a 5 year old low end MT8788 inside, this is going to struggle without a doubt.
