Has anyone found a decent competitor to Sonicare? Last one I tried was no where near as good.

I'm using a Bitvae D2, cost £15 from Amazon with 8 Dupont heads. Bought it to compare against my existing Sonicare 4300 mid range model I used with C3 heads.
Surprisingly enough, I prefer the Bitvae over the Phillips, it gives a decent clean on Whitening mode (no plaque/ Tatar after 2 months of use), it does not spray toothpaste everywhere like the Phillips, and charges quickly (4 hours).
Does it clean as good as the Sonicare? Most likely not, but it has changed my prior opinion that all non-phillips sonic brushes are trash. The previous Junk Chinese one I tried was a Phyllian h7 which created a plaque build up after a month that a dentist needed to fix.

These knock off Chinese brands do absolutely nothing, you'd be better with a manual toothbrush, I used one for a year and her terrible hard and soft plaque, changed back to an oscillating head and it went away in weeks.

Why would you risk damaging your teeth with these products from brands that have zero provenance and reputation to protect?

I really struggle to understand the logic, particularly given you can get perfectly good cheap alternatives from Philips/Braun or just use a manual brush.

Do you honestly think they’ve invested much time on production line tolerances and hence calibration to ensure it slows down if you press too hard? Let alone ensured the brush heads use appropriate material and the bristles stay in place for 2-3 months. (edited)

You might be overthinking about it. The most important thing is to use one, the brand is very minor in terms of effectiveness

Ok for a travel brush (lightweight) but wouldnt use as a main brush imho..

Have five Oral B toothbrushes as a family. Had them for years, heads are cheap, properly designed rather than some Chinese parts thrown together for the lowest possible price. No idea why you would want to buy cheap electric toothbrushes when even one dental bill will wipe out the savings.

I got these a few years ago. Great value for money but awful design.. The slot is made out of plastic where you put the brush in. So over time it bends and snaps. It's happened twice. I replaced it with a metal slot. Much better

I rate these more than Oral B. Only had to buy a new one of these because I ran out of heads and it was more cost effective to buy a complete toothbrush again.

Had a couple of these types, battery only lasted 6 months in the first one, still had brush heads left. Tried another brand and ended up with two £50 hygienist bills for plaque build up.

Went back to Oral B id never seen an Hygienist during the 10 years i was using a Oral B rotary.

I use my last Chinese sonic brush for cleaning small motorbike parts now, its not good at that either (edited)
