Would you not be better buying a 5G Router for data: the networks appear to be moving towards 5G quite quickly??

Got 4 Tenda 4G Routers now in various places, all working well, no issues I'm too grown up for gaming so they're fast enough for me. DEPENDING ON THE MODEL the ability to plug a DECT phone in the back and make calls is a bonus. (edited)

Cat 4 was not great even back in 2014/15

Wouldn’t recommend. Get something that can at least do modern LTE standards.

This would be probably a hit in 2015.
300Mbit Tenda 4G router is currently 49.99 on Amazon - no need to order from China.

Funny, I have just moved and been told it will take 5 weeks before i can get Broadband installed - i am using my phone for tethering at the moment and work from home. is there a cheap short-term solution for this or just carry on as I am?

I bought this and returned it - maybe I was just unlucky but it kept dropping signal, even after a firmware update. In the end I popped the sim card into an old iPad to hotspot and have had better speeds and a flawless connection.
