Description

Hand Cooked Crisps. Our experts work closely with local farmers to select the variety of British potato that give just the right crunch. Each potato is carefully sliced and fried in small batches under the watchful eye of specially trained fryers. They stir each batch gently, select the best crisps, then tumble them carefully in seasoning for a perfectly even coating.

    Thanks, time to stock up.
I now refuse to buy any crisps more than £1/150g.

Used to buy these when they were 99p before they increased by 26%...
How can the supermarket justify such an increase when they can sell them now for their original price.?
Good crisps, thanks for the heads up.
Aldi sell some very similar for 99p

100%, well said. Some massive profiteering been going on the past couple of years.... disgusting.

To everyone that says salted crisps are too vanilla: What's wrong with you?

Good deal, need to stock up on the black pepper crisps

Great. They’re now on “offer” to what they used to be full price

We’re all been taken for a ride

Open your eyes man. Inflation exists.

Morrison’s versions also 99 pence and only £1.09 at the ‘full’ price. Tesco’s claimed full prices are becoming like wine prices – ‘reduced’ from a silly price which nobody would ever pay to the correct standard price. (edited)
    Megamart's avatar
Yes, but Morrisons cut their bag sizes down to 125g.

These were always £1 for ages so why now on offer

Good reduction - about time crisp prices returned to some vague sanity

I will never be able to unsee Co-op charging £3.50 for a packet of Tyrells..

Morrison’s have shrunk the packet to 125g they’ll be £1 for a 25g bag soon.
    michalko's avatar
Kettle did the same thing. Not only they shrunk the packet from 150g tesco.com/gro…296 to 130g tesco.com/gro…008 they increased the price too... I don't believe this is inflation related only. It's profiteering. They can go and do one, I refuse to buy them now. (edited)

Since price increases we just buy crisps as a treat so not very often.
  14. wiseoldtree's avatar
Shame the root veg variety isn't on the offer!
  15. CynicalNurse's avatar
They don't put much flavouring on them compared to other shops. Only Lidl are worse.

I’m shocked - I rate these as the best supermarket branded crisps. Only second to Tyrrell’s and Pipers in my opinion.

Government tell us not to ask for pay rises as it causes inflation. Most inflation is caused by profiteering. Be strong and (slim) and boycott these products.
    StaceyQ's avatar
No, a good chunk of ours is caused by a weak currency, labour shortages and increased trade friction caused by a 2016 event.

This on top of a war on the continent and recovery from a global pandemic - which other countries have to cope with too.
