A lifetime fan of Walkers, I'd almost given up on them after binning multiple flat, airless, tasteless, pale C&O and S&V. Before I could deliver the decree, thus banishing them from the house, the wife bought a box of each on a similarly priced bargain beal. My disappointment vanished almost immediately after opening a pack. Fresh, crunchy and full of flavour, these crisps are so much better quality than the 25g supermarket multipack bags that they can't possibly be produced in the same factory. WTF, Walkers? WTF?
Wotsits arrived today (ordered on the day I posted this Deal). 13 days isn't bad. BBE Date: 10/09/22
I thought you were referring to the discussion above, about best buy dates and whether it's where they ship from that determine this - and you weren't buying because of this. I went back to edit that I then realised it was out of stock from Amazon again.
Why did you take my post so sensitively? I merely pointed out that the item was not in stock for me, a mere ten minutes after you helpfully pointing that it was back in stock. So, either it had gone out of stock generally or it had never been back in stock in the depot supplying me. I was merely pointing this out for the benefit of other members. Why is this baffling to you?
Not sure what you mean, I thought Amazon used different depots anyway (?) but either way, I don't post specifically for one member. Get a bit baffled when people reply in this manner. Sold out from Amazon again, so they must not have had many, who knows.
Not for me. Could be sold out again or that we are served by different distribution depos with different stock levels.
Tesco's latest profits for the year £3.2 Billion Pounds says it all...
Totally agree another brand completely ripping off people, they should be ashamed of themselves.
These are great but agree not paying more than a quid for them, if consumers walk away from products then prices will come back down. The other big bags of crisps I buy have not gone up in price so no reason for these to cost more than a quid and there are loads of alternatives out there. I only buy two bags a week and am half hoping they will all go up above a quid and I will then stop buying them, not really good for you!
I agree :D I think people are still coming to terms with the fsct that these are different times we are living in and the prices they have been used to paying for stuff are no longer there. Im sure some other deal posters would simply expire the deal in these circs but it's not in my nature. I'm all for democracy and if posters believe this is a poor deal and neg it that's fine with me whether I agree or not (y)
My god the temp in this deal will mean these will last well beyond their expiry date!
Believe it or not, this is a 'hot deal', your lucky to find these under about £1.80 these days, long gone are the days of 2 packs for £2.
Didn't notice, so it wasn't a lie. Who cares about that anyway. I was talking about taste.
well that's just a lie. the morrisons' ones are not as thick as walkers; as is with most off-brand crisps.
83.3p per 100 grams at morrisons compared to these which are 83.4p per 100 grams. So this is not such a great deal after all. I actually can't tell the difference between walkers and morrisons branded ones which are nearly half the price.
