Tesco have been matching both these at their old price of 69p so will be interesting to see if they match this new price (they are still claiming an Aldi price match on their site @ 69p so something's going to happen tomorrow!)

Just a word of advice on flour, especially if you don't use it straight away. Twice over a good few years we've had an infestation of weevils in the cupbord where we used to keep flour (tiny dark insects moving around, visible against a light background; not dangerous/poisonous but unpleasant in a food product and very difficult to eradicate once the blighters get loose and they then invade other products. I investigated further and learned that most flour contains weevil eggs (too small to see) and they can hatch in storage. The problem is usually flour which has been in stock too long, either in the shop or in your cupboard. The recommended solution is to store flour in the feezer when first bought (not sure whether it kills them or just stops them hatching).

Anyone else had this problem? (edited)

    Yeah, had that.

Now I only buy what I need and use well before the best before date. (edited)

Well, Tesco still (erroneously) claiming an Aldi price match at 69p. Be careful out there.

Sainsbury's had it always for 58p (matching Aldi) then in the last month it went up to 69p (matching Aldi), so is it really a deal they went back to the price it used to be?

Anyway, I use this flour for bread making (half and half with bread flour and no difference to breads taste ).
So I may stock up if I see 58p again.

Amazing how the price went up and now has come down when there's been no wheat harvest yet, so it's not a supply issue, it isn't a cost of production issue, so what is it? (edited)
