as per the product detail battery life 18 month but the display only one year life

Even the 3 star reviews nearly all complain about some fault, like inaccurate, screen dying, too small to read easily, and all the problems that the 1 and 2 star reviewers have mentioned.

I even saw the first 4 star review say:

These thermometers arrived quickly, are adequate for intended use and are easy to read. They all seem to display the same temperature which is good,

but one of them doesn't work at all, so I am one short,

but not intending on purchasing another because one has failed. I was going to buy individually at first, but then I saw a better offer for a pack of 4 and went with that, maybe I shouldn't have changed my mind as it has now cost me more in the long run!

How they can give 4 stars when 25% of their purchase is dead at the start is puzzling.

This inaccuracy complaint is common throughout the 1, 2, 3, 4 star reviews.
How can an unreliable device be given 4 stars, it is misleading.
