Used to be a great service, but all the times are mostly terrible for us now. Seven hours to London when it takes two by train.

If you do travel on Megabus, and decide to reserve yourself an upstairs seat DO NOT reserve one of the ones right at the front, or just behind the stairs - the legroom is non-existent! The other extra-legroom seats though are good - go for one of those, well worth the extra £2 if its a long trip

It's strange how megabus journey times on many routes always seem longer than other coach companies. London to Birmingham for example is about 3 hours on National Express and Flixbus, but megabus say it will take four hours. Do megabus drivers have to drive extra carefully? Or is the megabus more severely restricted for speed?

I used these from Heathrow to Manchester airport a while ago. Half the price of the train (£70+) and about £10 cheaper than National Express (about £30ish for the Megabus).
Was going to fly BA but prices were over £200.

Arrived about 5 mins late into Heathrow Central station, and every seat pair had one person in at that point.
Space was very tight and the overhead luggage rack very small. Not sure if tighter than Ryanair.
Hard to move about, reach any power points, eat etc.
If someone got off, someone else got on.

Journey wasn't too bad and got to see how bad Brum looks

Only used them as I changed my travel plans and decided to head back to Manchester on the day.
Wouldn't use them again unless no other option to be honest. That said, there are some £10ish fares from MAN-LHR which can't really be beaten and you can leave at 2am or so should you want to go down overnight.
(Used them once in the US from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Front row to myself and very bouncy, but nice scenery seeing all the nut trees etc.)
