For the straps, you can use any 24mm band afaik.
I want it for tracking activities and multi day trips, with the odd bit of Google pay, so I'm not hugely fussed about Google assistant.
I've got a pixel watch and it's an absolute joke, I'd be surprised if this is functionally worse, even if it doesn't get any significant updates (edited)
I've actually just opened the watch up to see what's going on and the buttons themselves are nowhere near the contacts. Not sure if there has been some distortion or the buttons have moved somehow but I'm not sure how it can be fixed. I might try putting tiny layers of electrical tape on to push the contacts out.
I will not be buying another ticwatch. That's for sure.
