Is it me.....or is this watch actually a real looker for not much money at all?

These were £20 or so for a few years about 10 years ago. I got myself one then but I barely wear it. I only watches that time sync automatically and I don't know why almost everything doesn't. The people who design watches must be Luddites or it's Luddites who have money for watches.

I love this watch however I find the ticking noise quite loud, however some people may like this. I purchased it for £34 the other day with the "local pickup voucher". For £34 this minor flaw is acceptable. What I do like is I have a Garmin Venu watch with 20mm quick release straps which are compatible. (edited)

A noisy ticking really gets to me as well, though it is kind of Timex’s “thing”.

Would have deffo gone for the grey and orange version - but not part of the offer/available it seems. Disappointing!

I have this watch in khaki. It's great, but I agree the ticking is too loud, annoying in a quiet room. Dial is very clear and easy to read at a glance. I like how the whole face illuminates from behind making it very visible in the dark, rather than some that just have a little LED in the side.

Almost bought, I like the look too. Just the ticking would drive me nuts. Other than that good deal.

My 10-year-old times seem to tick much pounder than the one I brought for a friend in the summer. Not sure if they've changed anything. It's a great daily watch, simple and unshowy.

    Shame it’s only for weekend

It’s the weekender, it’s a lovely little watch. I’d prefer it to Timex automatics as well, as they usually have the awful noisy rotor in them.

Timex quartz watches have very loud ticking noise though.

For anybody interested in a silent version , search for the weekender chronograph- i have both and the chronograph is much quieter. Saying that though I wear the standard weekender which came with a leather strap to work (where I don’t notice the ticking at all)
