    I've bought AliExpress cables in the past and they all seem to get very hot, especially the ones capable of fast charging....to the point I'm never comfortable using them.

    Yes this is probably a cheaper way to buy the exact same thing that's being sold on Amazon for £8...but when they're both going to burn your house down, what difference does it make? At least I can return the Amazon one

    Problem is you have no idea if this cable is the same as the more expensive ones you might get from amazon 🤷
    Besides, cables are very unlikely to damage a device. It'll just refuse to charge if there's an issue with the cable
