    I bought one of these a few weeks ago and I'm happy with it. It clamps very well on air vent and it has a strong spring to hold the phone, so going over bumps - no issues

    This always seems to get decent feedback on here but I find it a bit off-putting that it has such a low number of reviews on Amazon (with the majority seemingly being those that had received it for free anyway).

    Used it for week took it off to move and air vent is now bent and won’t move up or down. Maybe due to clamp and weight of phone.

    I've had a bunch of windscreen and dashboard phone mounts over the years. I've had this one a couple of months now and it's by far the best I've owned, the clamp is rock solid on the air vent.

    Thanks OP. I ordered one, it came yesterday and it fits the vent on my BMW 1 Series really well.
    The best thing to do is attach it to the lower part of the vent and then the built in grooves in the stand fit really well and help not put too much stress on the vent.
    Hopefully the pics help. I have been over several speed humps today and it has not moved even with my iPhone 12 Pro Max in the holder. My phone is fairly large and heavy so I would say this is very solid considering the weight of the phone and the fact it hasn't budged.

    A good buy IMO!

    I also bought last week and happy with it. Much better than the magnetic ones which are no good after a few weeks use.

    I bought an older one after using magnets for a while as the magnet affected my new phones navigation/compass.

    Good clamping and very secure. Only preference would be to have wireless charging
