About this deal

Silver is available here. Cheaper than on Amazon. Nice to see Topping is available from a UK retailer and not a drop shipper! Two year warranty included. The D10s gets good reviews for it's sound quality and flexibility.

Key Features

Perfect Desktop Addition: The Topping D10S is a USB DAC with outputs for Line out, Optical and Coaxial. It uses a processor from XMOS (XU208), ES9038Q2M, OPA2134, and features a custom Thesycon driver which provides better compatibility with high resolution audio. Whilst allowing Windows to support PCM384kHz/32bit and DSD256 (Native) decode whilst displaying the format and sampling rate using an indicator.

The D10S also includes an Opamp socket to make it easier to change to another Opamp resulting in a different sound effect and works with Android, Windows (7 or above) and MAC. The D10S can also automatically turn on/off simultaneously with the computer, and can be used and a USB convertor, so you can connect USB to the device and output coaxial or optical to another DAC.

at a glance
• Customized Thesycon driver for better compatibility with high resolution audio
• Compatible with 16-32bit/44.1-384kHz and DSD64-DSD256

What is this for? Could I plug into a raspberry pi running moode for output rather than the 3.5mm jack?

We've got a Topping E30 & E30 II running on Pi's and both work really well, impressed by their stuff.

Old dac doubt your going to notice any difference in comparison with a newer type dongle here as its more versitile and powerful with balanced output

Nice to see a notification for an actual Topping product on hukd that isn't a pizza topping lol

Bear in mind the D10s has been available for £109 for a long time, either on Amazon or through electromod. But yeah nice to see Scan offering it, maybe they'll offer more *fingers crossed*

Can I have multiple things connected as output and switch between them? Looking to move to Linux and need better support than my creative had for optical switching..

Not in the market for a DAC at the moment but the one everyone talks about - if you're on a tight budget - is the SMSL SU-1.

I vaguely remember chatter about Topping having QC problems of late but I don't know if it affects the D10S. Might be more recent products. (edited)
