I've had the 2mp and 3mp versions of this, the quality on the 2mp is far better than the 3mp in 95% of lighting conditions. I assume they use the same sized sensor so the 3mp lets in far less light and that is why the picture is so noisy.

The 2mp is the 1080p one. I've got a dark example comparing the 2. It's amazing how much difference there is

The day wasn't as bad but the 1080p/2mp is still the clear winner to me (edited)

yes the adverts in app are annoying.
The network details issue is usually a combined SSID fault from your router trying to make it connect to the 5ghz wireless.

he annoying thing for me is they are white so the relection bounces off the inside of the window. They don't come with software to easily allow you to view and control on a computer. You can't switch the camera off from the phone app.

YI cameras are available in black, they have computer software and you can also turn them off remotely. They are 1080p and go up to 64gb memory cards but I prefer them (edited)

What Yi cameras are you referring to? Got a link?

And do they have rtsp? I think these do.

Been debating this one for a while as price goes up and down regularly. Have the ordinary 360 degree model, so may finally get one of these too.

I've tried to look, but are these cameras powered by cable, battery or both please?

These are very good. I've had 4 so far and always great. Much improved picture over my old system. Have 2 fixed waterproof outdoor ones as well. Tapo software is very good. Cloud service to store is extra, but not a bad price.

I've got the 1080p version, but I have intermittent problems being able to connect to and view the camera. My WiFi is very good throughout the home though, and is running on WiFi 6 with signal. Not sure if just defected, but I may have to request a replacement from amazon. Not sure if anybody else has had similar issues, but just my thoughts on this camera so far.

Same here. App seems to take forever to connect to the camera. It's pretty hit and miss.
