The discounted tickets are via Seatfrog, with discount of between 25% and 50% of TransPennine Express Advance Purchase standard ticket prices. Some example prices

2. Enter your chosen journey and travel date
3. Choose a time window (morning, afternoon or evening)
4. Seatfrog will email you your discounted ticket with your booked time 24 hours before you depart,

    Similar to what Avanti are doing, pity trains get cancelled so often that this may mean this isnt that great of a deal.

    Heat for those who use the train network though

    try Lumo, the ongoing price is possibly more comeptitive than elsewhere if you book in advance
