Supplied in untreated logs, the Truus can be customised to match the style of each garden. Tuin offers a range of treatment options including paints, stains and impregnation. For an all year round cabin, learn more about insulating your Log Cabin.

This cabin is a 'special' stock item and not available in the current catalogue or with Retailers of our products.
FREE roof Shingles: As a standard building you can select either roofing felt or FREE shingles. We cannot guarantee which colour or shape will be sent. We will always let you know the colour and style following your order. It is rarely possible to change those offered as it is dependent on our stocks.

Free shingles for this Truus 45mm Log Cabin are the same quality as our standard range and made by the same manufacturer. However, they are last year's stock and old range colours, also some packaging may not be 'as new'.

Standard Roof Shingles: These are from our standard catalogue range and are available in various colours and styles.

We highly recommend shingles with your log cabin: The final finish is far more superior and turns a shed into a stunning log cabin. Ordinary felt will last two - three years. Shingles will last for at least 15 years and it is unlikely you will ever need to replace them.

Has anyone built one of these?

Is it easy to do? And is there anything additional you need? (Other than a solid base)

Never made a shed in my life and needed more space. Watched the Tuin videos and got planning

Hardest part is getting the base completely flat and level. I did this before it arrived

    Basic tools needed -

    Large set square
    Wooden mallet
    Hammer
    Drill

Then make sure your first lengths are completely square or you will have a bad day further on...

After that they mainly just slot together.

Make sure you factor in the cost of proper decent wood treatment. I used Sikkens and cost something like £250 to treat it all but 5 years later and its still like it was on day 1 !!!!

Tuin delivery was amazing as well and the drivers skill on the loader machine was excellent getting my order right where I needed it.

Only negative I had was they charged £70 to cross the border 10 miles into scotland!!

This is bargain .. bought similar afew years ago from skinners sheds, modified it to suit. Check permitted development rules and regs regarding what you can build before you buy ... if you're a competent DIY person, easy to build ...

The ridge height is above 2.5m. Which means there's more restrictions

As there is no floor in it could I build this and then dig down 20 foot and make a series of tunnels under my home and into the neighborhood?
