Just putting this up for info. I asked further down the thread if this compressor would be powerful enough to pump up my Fiat Ducato van tyres up to 70psi.
I bought this pump yesterday and found the following.
The instructions don't specifically say don't use on commercial vehicles, but they do say it is suitable for cars bikes etc. And the 5min limit is mentioned a couple of times.
The pump is quite weighty and shifts 10l/min which is not bad.
Connected to a motorcycle battery powered tender the pump struggled to raise the tyre pressure from 55psi to 65psi, but it did do it. The battery was exhausted after this, so the electrical load is heavy.
Connected to the van via the cigarette socket and with the engine running the pumped worked much better and raised from 50 to 70psi in a couple of minutes. The wiring and the pump housing got warm but not hot.
So overall it does work and is a useful extra to have onboard the motorhome.

Always start your engine when pumping the tyres up and probably best doing it before taking the car on a run particularly with Hybrid cars that have smaller batteries and the compressor takes a lot out of them.

Nah these are tiny and don’t use that much power. I have an identical one and had no issues in the years of using it.
If your battery is going flat from something using the cigarette lighter socket for a few minutes then the battery must be on its last legs.

These are excellent. Been using them for years and never had any kind of problem with them. So superior to the standard footpump - and much more reliable, oddly.

I've got one, seems pretty good and coped when my 4x4 had a slow puncture so had to use this for like 10+ minutes at a time. (Manual recommends 5 min max then let cool).

What size tyre was that on your 4x4? Wondering if this will be man enough to put 70psi into my campervan tyres. Ducato with the smaller tyre option. cheers
