You might as well purchase a 'real' used laptop for that price and it will be more practical!

Thinking exactly the same thing. You may as well get Chromebook.

This type of product is made to 'impress' hard-of-thinking adults, rather than educate kids. Rather like a favourite pet's toy, the best such items can do is distract younger children - to 'amuse' them so an adult does not have to.

Do not fool yourself. You are not setting your little one on any kind of high-tech path with such toys. Any more than you help kids to read with the equivalent babyish 'book' toys. For the very young they can, with adult assistance, gain a starting point, but this is a very small time window after which the child needs constantly improving educational materials, age appropriate, but less and less like toys.

If anything, poorly conceived 'educational' toys, used over a long period, would put off educational advancement.
