Use sewing machine oil much cheaper and just the same.

Seeing machine oil seems more expensive than clipper oil.

I've been using baby oil for years. What are the main differences or benefits of this over standard baby oil which works out cheaper?

I find baby oil sticky. I bought this Wahl oil last time when on offer. It works perfect. Must have a look at sewing machine oil. What I saw so far was very expensive (20ml for £2)

I have a little Philishave that I use for travel, powered by 2 AA batteries. The only problem is that it eats batteries.
I tried oiling the cutter head and you can hear it run noticeably faster with the oil. Which means more back emf, lower power consumption & longer battery life.

This bottle lasts ages! I started cutting my own hair during lockdown and purchased this bottle then I use it after around every 2nd haircut and the bottle still feel full!

My barber used to use WD-40. Nothing quite like leaving the barbers smelling like you've been serviced.

Sorry if it sounds silly but any idea what the difference is between this clipper oil and any generic oil? Thanks

It is clear and odourless. Sewing machine oil works too though.

Whether giving bit of hair oil massage before cut can help both Mr Skalp and Mr. Wahl? 😁

I've never used oil on mine and its lasted years, think I still have the little bottle it comes with. Where do you actually oil the thing? Really should do it to prolong its life cause its best ive used

the oil is effective. it's a piece of machinery that is prone to rust or hair strands stuck in the grinding teeth (edited)
