Nice price on this model, most places selling the 5750 for this price or more and you can claim a £70 voucher to spend online at the Weber store Details here weber.com/GB/…tml

The difference with this model is you get Stainless Steel Hinged GBS grates with it rather than the plated ones you get with the 5750

Iconic design meets quality engineering with the versatile Weber Master-Touch E-5755 to enhance and simplify your charcoal barbecuing experience.

A great all-rounder, this kettle barbecue benefits from high-specification features, a heavy-gauge steel fuel grate and a 57cm diameter cooking area. It's compatible with Weber's Gourmet Barbecue System (GBS) accessories and easy to maintain.

Key features:

  • Iconic barbecue design
  • 57cm diameter cooking area
  • Rust and chip resistant bowl and lid
  • Built-in thermometer
  • Vents for all-weather barbecuing
  • Handle stays cool to the touch when cooking
  • One-Touch easy-cleaning system
  • Crack-proof, all-weather transporter wheels
  • Handy lower shelf
  • GBS compatible

Gourmet Barbecue System
The Gourmet Barbecue System (GBS) hinged stainless steel cooking grate is compatible with a menu of Weber specialist accessories such as pizza stones, griddles, casseroles and poultry roasters (sold separately). The accessories give you a range of cooking options from making breakfast and simmering soups to preparing a perfectly crispy pizza in your barbecue.

Porcelain enamel finish
The lid and bowl have a rust-proof porcelain enamel finish and the lid features a built-in thermometer. Cooking with the lid down reduces flare-ups to cook more evenly and thoroughly and it seals in smokey barbecue flavours. The lid handle has a heat shield so you can use it safely.

Smoke setting
The 'smoke' setting on the bowl vents gives you even more control of the heat in your barbecue to create ideal temperatures for smoking and roasting.

One-Touch cleaning system
The One-Touch cleaning system has a lightweight, high-capacity aluminium ash catcher that lifts out for easy ash disposal and cleaning.

If you wanted to upgrade your 5750 to Hinged steel grates like on this 5755 model it would cost you £90 weber.com/GB/…tml

They're so much easier to clean and keep clean than the chrome plated ones and can go in the dishwasher

To some up this has the stainless steel grill (easier to clean) which is also has GBS (Gourmet Barbecue System) which lets you remove the centre of the grill and replace it with various Weber addon like the poultry roaster or sear grate, which you could buy with the £70 voucher.

So all in a pretty good deal

It's in the description , it's always been the main difference between the 5755 and 5750, unless Weber have downgraded it this year? and if so then no point selling the 5755 anymore as it would be exactly the same as the 5750

Isn't it a pain to keep lifting off the whole lid versus the hinged version?

I was originally going for the hinged version until I seen the problems with heat leakage and the hinge having to be modified to work properly.

Oh I see now! Both have the same grill design but one is stainless steel and the other is triple-plated. Which is better?

Stainless steel, the other will rust over time/usage

Anywhere cheaper than Weber for the stainless grills please?

Search function here for weber will give an idea from last year but weber had a global announcement a week or two back about the effect that the current global price hikes are having on their projected sales so I'd say price drops might be a bit earlier this year.

So this model has a hinged cooking grate but with the 5750 you get a grate where the centre can be taken out and can therefore fit other GBS compatible accessories?

How does this one compare to the 70th anniversary edition?
