About this deal

  • Rapidaptor universal holder, stainless, for bits with ¼" hexagon head drive
  • Solution to the extraneous rust problem: fasten stainless screws with stainless tools
  • No chance for extraneous rust with stainless steel
  • Rapidaptor technology for rapid bit change
  • 1/4" hexagon drive

Most people can use the cheaper non-stainless bit holder and just keep it dry and oiled. I guess you will know if you need the stainless version.

what's the use case for this

I would have thought that a ss bit would be adequate? (edited)

it's very niche, mainly for people who work in corrosive environments, salt, and harsh chemicals.

I work in the marine industry and sometimes on the water, and have a lot of tools getting rusty quick

To bulky to reach some areas stick to Milwaukee much better

    Correct.

Very often had to swap for another as it couldn't reach

I've had the non-stainless one in my 12v drill for years, in my garage without rust. The rapidaptor is the best bit holder I've ever used. Hot from me OP

I’ve been a bahco boy for a while now. Should I change my allegiances to Wera?

I am in a similar situation. All my sockets and sets are Bacho and they are great, but I have moved to Wera for screwdrivers. But Wera are a lot more expensive generally than Bacho.I wont be replacing my Bacho stuff as it is still excellent stuff
