Looked into these recently am I right in assuming this would be no good for the likes of a fridge or freezer as its non latching.

Is this the correct type for power/garden tools?

It is a lot easier to just get one of theses amazon.co.uk/Mas…c=1 I agree but if you want 2 items protected and willing to spend the time to wire it up, the deal might be a better option long term?

Just so you know its not recommended to have two RCS’s in one circuit.

Something else i don't really need :-) But i have one of those plug-ins and can never be a***d with it as it's so seldom needed and i can never remember all the steps to set up. I'll replace the outlet in my shed with this as a discipline. I'm assuming i can use with an extension lead and lawnmower?

I have a problem somewhere with a socket that trips my main board. Would this trip out first and leave the main board running?

Had the problem investigated and can't find the fault

It could be a faulty appliance or an extension lead shorting that plugs into one of your sockets or you can buy a socket tester that shows up any faults with a socket wiring.

Aren't all sockets RCD protected by a main RCD in the consumer unit? I mean, that's the regulations right?

Plenty of older houses without RCD boards. Latest regulations only apply to new installs.
