Not as low as Lidl had them a few months ago, however still a decent offer I believe. Always handy to have one of these around the house.

I'd definitely go for a telescopic ladder. As useful as this is, I have 1, it needs a lot of room to open it up to how you want it. I've damaged a few walls in my house setting it up.

possibly won't be long enough to safely go into a loft. However we have used ours as a platform for painting. Game changer if you have high ceilings, a lot quicker than than getting on and off a ladder, as you can edge in 3 metres of wall at a time. Honestly wish I had purchased sooner.

It is awkward though and unforgiving if you scuff on walls.

I picked mine up for £20 second hand on facebay. Worth looking out for one on there and buying in addition to a loft ladder.

Ooo awesome, I’ve been looking for one like this since the Homebase cancellations last year. Thanks

Bring back Maplin the shop, used to be £49.99 all day long. Now can be had on ebay for around £59.99.

... and the usual repeat of the infamous infomercial, with the relevant disaster starting at 25secs:

Maplins was a very useful store but I always found items I wanted considerably more costly than other outlets. They had deals now then and I would say bring them back along with a few other names but I wouldn't say bring them back because their prices were great across the board, more so it was a decent store and they had things there and then when you needed it fast, faster than Prime!

Which Werner one did you go for

Purchased one a year or so back. They are very useful but the most annoying thing about these type of ladders is the wide top and bottom which restrict where you can place them sometimes.

Also it likely won't reach to the top of your guttering unless you have a bungalow or a shorter than normal house.

I had one like this from Argos - think I paid £50 for it about five years ago, was useful outside where you have the space to manoeuvre but inside was less useful. In the end I sold it on eBay and bought a standard slide ladder but it doesn’t go as high but easier to manoeuvre.

How tall is it when you have it in platform mode? My mrs is 5ft and wondering if she could still reach the ceiling. I want something I could occasional use when redecorating, maybe clean gutters, and more importantly going to store in garage ideally on the rafters. It would be great to get something she could put her bucket and roller on if possible, but don’t want a gigantic thing. I like telescopic but they won’t do the other stuff. Appreciate the any help

I have one of these and it is pretty good. I have to agree that the wide legs can make it really awkward. Another thing to note is that it is very heavy.
