YouTube Premium – 3 Month Trial – Available today

Watch your favorite YouTube creators without ads and download videos to view them on-the-go. Plus, stream the latest songs from your favorite artists with uninterrupted access to YouTube Music. New YouTube Premium subscribers only.

What is YouTube Premium?

YouTube Premium (formerly known as YouTube Red) is one of a few premium membership services that we offer for amplifying your experience on YouTube.

With YouTube Premium, you can watch millions of videos without interruptions by ads before and during a video, including video overlay ads. You will also not see third-party banner ads and search ads.

You may still see branding or promotions embedded in the content by the creator and promotional links, shelves and features in and around the content that are added or enabled by the creator. These links, shelves and features could be for their website, merchandise, membership to their channel, event tickets or other related destinations that they are promoting.

Ad-free videos are supported across all devices and platforms where you can sign in with your Google Account – including on compatible smart TVs/gaming consoles and the YouTube, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids mobile apps, if they're available in your location.

You're fine to click "cancel", mate.

I activated this deal, then went into settings and cancelled my billing - my account is showing as Premium until 16/02/22.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, op!

Only coming up as a 1-month trial for me as well. That's on mobile. Will try on the console.

I turned off YouTube apps on mobile and tablet so they don't automatically start. I use YouTube via a specific browser with the appropriate add on and haven't had any adverts for years. Works fine on all my Android and Windows devices. I cannot do this on Xbox or cast to TV but that's no great loss.

I called Microsoft Friday afternoon they said they are aware of the issue and would be sorted by that evening, which was obviously code for “get off the phone we can’t fix it” as it still isn’t working. So far. I’ve tried…

    Using safari/Google/edge

Downloading the app to my console and signing in

    Using edge on my console

And still all I get is the bog standard YouTube offer of 1 month (edited)

Exactly the same here, it’s a transformative experience with no ads. Just keep my Revolut account topped up.

I mean sure it's against their TOS, but wouldn't call it illegal.

I mean any browser you watch YouTube on is a third party no? I also don't think them forcing you to watch ads to make revenue is good practice. But I see your point

How do you get Argentina or India signed up? Thanks

Connect to an Argentina/Indian vpn and then go sign in to YouTube and sign up to premium is what I did from memory. I used India at the time. Put some random Indian address in and my regular cc details. Been on it for donkeys. Don't forget being premium also gets you YouTube music as well. So no need for Spotify etc.

Edit: I used a pc to do it and I did try to change to a family plan a while ago but couldn't see any way of doing it on my account. (edited)

A cut of that goes to creators. Their cut is already poor without people trying to bypass ads. This is why good creators have to resort to putting sponsorships in videos, because their ad rates are atrocious thanks to freeloaders. Then, those same freeloaders complain about sponsorships.
It's no wonder why good, independent channels give up and all we're left with is big media corporations on YouTube.

Game Pass Ultimate can be bought for £1 then cancelled+refunded after claiming this perk (along with any other trials they’re offering e.g Discord Nitro, Crunchyroll, Disney+) making this a great deal

Unsure what I did as I'm typically useless taking up VPN deals but I've not spent more than £1.30/m since taking up YT Premium about a year ago. Don't even use YT Music (have Spotify on a share) but it's worth it just so not to put up with ads. I generally enjoy watching documentaries and sport highlights. Also did an Italian course thanks to it . Well worth the price of admission lol.
