Cheapest I’ve seen for the Xbox version.

Athletic and agile, sneaky and cunning. Driven by the desire to once again hold in his hands what he lost, Gollum is one of the most fascinating characters in the world of The Lord of the Rings™. He has seen things that others cannot imagine; he has survived things that others would not dare mention. Torn by his split personality, he can be vicious and villainous as Gollum, but social and cautious as Sméagol. While being vital to the story by J.R.R. Tolkien, many parts of Gollum’s quest have not been told in detail yet. In The Lord of the Rings™: Gollum™ you get to experience this story. From his time as a slave below the Dark Tower to his stay with the Elves of Mirkwood. Use stealth, agility, and cunning to survive and overcome what lies ahead. Climb, leap, and grapple your way past dangers or into advantageous spots. While Gollum might not be a fighter, it is not unlike him to assassinate a careless enemy when the chance presents itself – or dispose of them in more creative and villainous ways. The decisions you make and the way you play have a direct influence on Gollum’s personality: Always struggling between the two sides embodied by Gollum and Sméagol, it is up to you to decide whether the darker side of Gollum takes over or if there is a spark of reason left in what once was Sméagol. One mind, two egos - you decide!

Despite the haters doing their best to shout the loudest - I'm actually quite keen on trying this game.

I loved Styx and I'm expecting a similar experience here - I've watched a few developer interviews and it seems to be quite the labour of love for them. Even if it's lacking a bit of polish, I'd rather take a chance on this than get stung by another soulless AAA game from the usual culprits. (edited)

I’ve enjoyed some of Daedalic Entertainment’s games. They have been quite good with the Dark Eye franchise, the Deponia series was decent. Pillars of the Earth reviewed well and I quite like the look of State of Mind (not gotten around to playing it).

I can’t see them doing a bad job. They are a AA developer though, so you’re going to be disappointed if you expect something close to AAA budget games. I think this will be more like the Ghost of a Tale or Styx games. This is why the price is lower too, I’d guess.

If you like the stealth genre & Lord of the Rings, I’m sure there’ll be something to like here! Heat added.

The Pillars of the Earth is a beautiful game. And I really wanted to be excited for
State of Mind. But it was a bit disappointing... not so great.
I was quite excited for this one. Love Lord of the Rings... But I think this will be reviewed badly and probably be £20 or less 6 months after launch.

    This looks utterly

There's a reason they've set the price so low for a licensed game. They know it isn't going to score or sell well. I can see it being down to a tenner within a few months.

This game looks truly terrible. You even have to pay for the Elven language DLC which is just ridiculous.

    This game will be DOA.

Can’t say this is worth ordering until reviews come out. Heat for the price though OP.

Just received an email from Amazon saying there’s a delay to dispatching the item. Not great for a preorder!

but you can still buy it for next day delivery at a higher price from Amazon. (edited)

Yes I've also received an email today, the day it's due to arrive. Poor service.

I spoke to customer service and they just say no stock. I point out you can still buy it on their website at a higher price but they won’t send one to honour the order at the lower price 😔

Probably the same person I spoke to. I did think about ordering at higher price to arrive tomorrow then returning the cheaper one when it eventually arrives on the more expensive order but knowing my luck they would have different barcodes or something
