I think the mechanism has gone on my uPVC window. Will this fix it or will I require the mechanism replacing . ( handle moves freely but doesn't open window....kinda clicks as I raise the handle ?! ) Any ideas guys ? Thanks (edited)

Sounds like it’s more than just the handle. You’ll need to take the handle off and use a flat head screwdriver or something similar to replicate the spindle and get it open and then replace the mechanism. Will need to measure but you give you an idea it looks something like this

    hmm,
might be hand in my bag for some hotel rooms!

anyone else checked in to find the window locked with no handle?

Got a set of 10 black ones for £30 which replaced my 10 window handles. Some spindles needed to be cut down to fit, you'll need a good hacksaw. Happy with them now installed they have covers to go over the key holes if you don't need/use them making them look neat.

Wish i could find these handles in slimline form for the same money, regular ones keep catching on the blind.
