Those of you who have this and didn’t pay for installation, how hard is the installation and how many people would be required to put it together?

I bought one last year and paid joiners about £800 to put it up. Took them a day and a half total to put concrete supports in the grass and build it. They did say it was the best constructed one they'd ever put up, great instructions and everything fitted. Main problem is the weight I think. There were 3 of them who knew what they were doing. No way we could have done it safely ourselves, but if you're an expert DIYer with plenty of help I'm sure it's possible.

edit - looks like I was wrong so removed.
(I thought anything over 2.5m needed planning permision) (edited)

Nah you’re golden with this, so long as it’s over 2 meters away from your boundary.

Pitched roof Pergola’s can be up to 4m in height, if it’s not right next to your boundary. I believe as it’s open sided they are more relaxed.

I was close to getting this last year but decided on a solid wood one from Etsy, paid £2250 for 5x3m with wood roof fully built.
One benefit I would say is adding hanging chairs and a hammock, you will need a strong frame to take the weight of a few people on it which is the question I’d have with these Costco ones.

THIS IS NOT THE COSTCO ONE! ETSY ONE INSTEAD.

I have the 12 x 12ft version and it is a superb bit of kit.

There was an absolutely hilarious thread when a similar item was posted a couple of years ago, I wish I could find it again.

I personally think it looks a little odd in a garden or patio, a bit overpowering for a social space. But it would make a handsome car port (for a very small vehicle)! (edited)

This would class as a temp structure if I wanted to put it down the side of the house wouldn't it?
Should probs do some due diligence before I order it though

was looking at the smaller version and thinking it was a pretty good structure that you could enclose. I have seen some poor garden sheds that cost three times the £770 for the smaller model.

I was thinking exactly the same, my project this summer is build a shed, seeing this is making think of different options

Contemporary looks good, Shame they don't do a smaller size.

Seen these in the local costco. The wood structure is solid fine but not sure about the roof - wouldve been much nicer if it was wood. But still, a great price though (edited)

What is the best way to secure these to the floor please ?

    I saw this in store
    Absolutely ginormous
U need a huge field for this
A costco employee was questioning the wood finish
How weather resistant would it be? Not that im ever going to buy this
Its bigger than my house all put together lol
