The McGregor rattan storage box offers great outdoor storage. Made from weatherproof polypropylene it'll keep your garden gear safe and dry. Finished in black with an attractive rattan effect, it makes an attractive garden feature. It also doubles up as a bench with room for 2 adults (up to a combined weight of 160kg). It's great for guests in the warmer months and for having a quick sit down during a busy day in the garden. Virtually no maintenance required, just an occasional wash is all that's required to keep it looking new.

The lid can be padlocked shut (padlock not included) to make sure whatever you choose to store in the box, stays in the box. With 2 rollers on the bottom, you can easily move the box to wherever you need it to be.

Its generous storage space (280L) and compact size (external size H58, W116, D56cm, internal size H52, W109, D50cm) make it a great storage alternative to a shed in gardens where space is at a premium. The box comes with a floor and should be placed on a firm, level surface.

Assembly is quick and easy and only takes 1 person and no tools are required. All McGregor storage boxes come with a peace of mind of a 2-year guarantee making them perfect for any gardener.

I bought one of these several years ago and it has been awsome , its kept outside for cushions etc and they always been dry as a bone

Anyone have one of these? I could do with a couple for storing pots, watering cans, things like that, but don’t want them if they’re rubbish quality?

I've bought many different types and had the same issue until I bought one of these. Sold and waterproof all year round. I store my outdoor furniture cushions all year round

Thanks OP - ordered one earlier and collected it. It’s really easy to put together and surprisingly sturdy too! Contemplated getting 2-3 but when I went to reorder another 1 or 2, they’d all gone in all of my 10 local stores! It is deceptively spacious; used mine for pots, garden tools, a couple of foldable chairs and a 50cm diameter table, and a small BBQ! Still got loads of room for odds and ends too!

Transferred a One4All £40 gift card to an Argos one in the time it took for the smaller ones to "sell out" so picked it up for a bus fare...

Are they quite light when empty? I presume so, as it's from Argos... Was thinking of something like this for outside the front of the house, wondering if it'll be swiped within hours (I'm in central London... plants in pots have been swiped from outside) (edited)

Would it be good for internal use? Does it stink of plastic?

Great deal. Thanks for posting. I got the bigger one. Now I can banish my wife's pots from the shed so I've got more room for tinkering!

Picked up 4 to use as trunks in the attic to store winter coats, bedding etc. Cheaper per cu ft than plastic storage boses with lids. These are like tardises or tardii whatever the collective noun is, they are bloody massive and you can get loads in, No issue with panels, all present and correct. Easy to assemble no tools needed, snaps into place / slots. Thx OP

Also one built and partially filled I had a coffee break and sat on one, I'm 100 kg no issues, sturdy no movement. No plastic smell or otherwise. (edited)

Tbh they are better quality than my Keter equivalent and much cheaper

Link doesn’t work and can’t see them on the website. Sold out?
    ScorchingHot's avatar
I just clicked the link and it worked for the cheaper one, not tried the other one. Put McGregor into the search on Argos' website - I just tried that and it brings up a few, including the two in this post. All of my local stores have stock; I just placed an order for 1 to try at 11:45 today! Hope this helps! (edited)

I picked one up yesterday. I plan to put strimmer, toolbox, garden tools in it. That's ok right?

Only annoying thing is the lid won't stay closed as you need a padlock lol

Some stock in Aberystwyth if any Welshies are local and want something to keep their pet sheep in?
    David_Brooks0Qe's avatar
I live near Aberystwyth and I've ordered one. Not sure my sheep will fit in it but we have something similar and my wife rears runner ducks in them....
