Help with Sonos set up please PLEASE!!

Hi fellow HUKD’ers. I would like a bit of help with a set up of a sonos please. I was given 2 play 5’s ( gen 1 ) by my friend and have been very happy. I’m a complete noob when it comes to this so be gentle pls. 
I order a playbase and came today. plugged it in to the TV with optic and works great. I would like to attach the other so I can have a additional tv speakers. I am not having a good time of understanding how to do this. 🙈🙈
Play 5’s are gen 1 and as I understand they won’t group with the playbase! Is this correct!???
