Thoughts on motherboard and CPU for a 3080 Ti

Hi foks... I'm building a new rig and bought myself a 3080 Ti off amazon warehouse thanks to a deal posted here.. Just looking at what would be a good mobo and cpu for it, hoping nothing more than £400 for both. I'm not in a rush so can wait for a decent deal on either, just hoping you techy minded folk might have some pointers.

Also,, there's a good chance I'll upgrade the GPU in a few years so mobo needs to be reasonably future proofed. Tia.

Before you do anything, I would suggest you check out: pc-builds.com/bot…tor
In terms of CPU, a lot will depend on what monitor you have. Sadly, this is often overlooked. 7600X as suggested by 001Cisco would be great at 1440p. But at 1080p would give you a 11.2% bottleneck on the processor side.

    Thanks both.

The ryzen 5 7600x was actually the cpu I was looking at before asking on here so good to know it's recommended.

As for monitor, have a 32'' 1440p oddysey - not looking to upgrade to 4k so happy to game at 1440p. I also do quite a bit of photo editing and that screen is great for that.

As for PSU, guessing something like 850w is more than sufficient? Realised I'll need to sell my pc with that lol so need to purchase this too. tia.
