sorted byThey don't appear in google play as you have effectively 'bought' them from amazon.
You need the Amazon App Store App, not the normal Amazon shop app.
You may need to allow apps from unknown sources while installing the Amazon App.
First, whatever you buy will be backed up in Amazon's cloud servers. Download and delete as many times you want, they will be free so no worries.
I am sure some apps can be shifted to sd card thereby saving you some precious space.
Got a few apps
Lock, wipe, locate i.e. Android Device Manager (you have this functionality already).
I really cringe when people feel they need an anti-virus suite on their phones. Don't believe me, read/listen to any of the big Android blogs/websites out there.

Maybe worth a look at this
Trainyard is awesome if you like puzzles!
Except this app takes a photo of someone that tries to access your phone and emails it to you.
Great for catching out family or work mates messing with your phone - or if it's stolen get an email of the person trying to use it, complete with GPS location and map of where your phone is.
This app is well worth having for free. I've been using it on my LG G2 since it was given away last year for free and there had been no problem with battery drain or lagging on the phone.
It also has some other useful features like call blocker and app locker to set passwords on individual apps

Maybe worth a look at this (note: no "yes" from AVG support staff, just some gaff about apps). It's very doubtful that AVG will protect you from Stagefright, because it's a remote execution vulnerability that interacts directly with a core component of the Android system. There's no point at which AVG can get in the way and stop the call from happening.

Was just about to buy it on Play.
Shame its a few updates behind the Google Play version.
Maybe some could be shifted onto the memory card??
Is it the regular Amazon app I must install? I had a few weeks ago to get a Prime voucher code, but due to many permissions I had uninstalled.
Thanks. Not my cup of tea then.
A reminder that the best way to get these apps is simply to log into your Amazon UK account on a desktop/laptop browser, open up the offer page and buy each one (e.g. open new tab with link click, buy app, close tab, rinse and repeat). You don't need to download/install anything until you're ready, but when you do want to do that, you *will* need to install the Amazon Appstore app on your Android device and keep it installed to run any of the apps (it checks for that at runtime).
