I think this should win awards for how ugly it looks.
Thanks, yeah that is a nice one. I guess it just depends on whether you have the extra cash to spend or not.
The Manomano type with the composite table is £199.99 https://www.manomano.co.uk/catalogue/p/garden-bench-poly-rattan-wpc-table-top-water-repellent-cinema-bench-garden-2-seater-31697942?model_id=31678823
Composite decking style table. Not glass.
Size assembled: Width: 138 cm, Height: 83 cm, Depth: 61 cm I'm only saying because I got some bits from Manomano before after waiting ages to get them and I find the quality not as heavy on the rattan but yours is a good find if they honour their deliveries on time.
Check out the Project Farm video on impact bits in YouTube. Awesome resource!
Very good price. The highest price was 92 a few weeks back on ManoMano. I paid 180 for a combo with 2x 5a batteries from ToolStation 2 weeks ago.
Just wondering what specific cases this is more useful for. The only one I can think of, is changing tyres. I’ve seen all sorts of comments about whether it is more useful for long screws and whether you still need to drill a pilot hole or not. I suppose if you can get away with not needing it.
I'm not 100% sure but aren't these for things like longer or tougher fastenings where more torque is required? Suppose it depends what you're thinking of using jt for.
You can get it a bit cheaper currently from the Powertoolmate eBay store for £73.59 including shipping. It’s £79.99, with £6.40 (8%) off when you use the code PICK8. Nice first deal @LookW thanks for posting! (y)
Oops! I got caught out with Screwfix’s ex VAT pricing! (lol)
It's £250, not £205 but still a good deal IMO. The deal has been posted before and never gets much heat so I'm not bothering posting, but feel free to post if you like. :)
That’s a good deal for £205 from Screwfix. Could get 1.5% cash back from Topcashback, so £202 for an excellent 887 Driver, brilliant 795 drill. 3 x 3AH batteries, 70 minute fast charger and TSTAK box. I bought the 796 drill with 5AH battery, charger and TSTAK for about £130 and was pleased with that, but your Combi set is brilliant value with the 3 x. 3AH batteries IMO. Would warrant posting as a HUKD deal itself if not already listed on HUKD?
Thanks for posting and congratulations on your first hotukdeals thread (highfive)
For any of those wondering, these are the "better" ones from the typical 200 quid deals. you might notice the 3 lights on the impact driver. There is also speed options on it at the base and on the combi. which are absent on the lower end models (that have no or a single light). The 5ah batteries are nice though. Would have liked to see the fast charger/double though
i paid less than this for this set, with 3 x 5ah batteries
Agreed! I got this for about £220 with all the recent deals and selling additional bits like case and charger

Was looking dor a strimmer but bought this one instead. I mainly need it to go around the edges of the lawn against the fence. Will see how it well it does the job
I bought this. It's terrible for edges around my lawn. gonna have to buy a strimmer now so should of just got one in the first place
A question if I may please: Does anyone know how grass trimming works with this where you have grass growing up against a wall or fence? The cable strimmers just flex against the wall/fence and cut the grass against it, where as both of the attachments for this trimmer look like you'd have to get in behind the grass to trap it between the blades. Thanks in advance.
Yeah it would be great for that, I sometimes use this for when the lawnmower can't cope with long grass
Mine arrived this afternoon. It doesnt have what you would call a premium finish but I've just used the grass tool to go round the edges that completely defeated my strimmer and covered my legs in grass clippings a couple of days ago. It performed admirably and after a couple of uses to get the technique down it should be a great addition. Anyone want a macallister strimmer? (battery not included) (lol)
These are impact rated meaning they are extra tough
Toolstation has High performance version https://www.dewalt.co.uk/products/dt71562-qz--extra-small-tough-case-high-performance-25mm-32-piece-set This is extreme impact torsion version https://www.dewalt.co.uk/products/dt70523t-qz--extra-small-tough-case-extreme-impact-torsion-25mm-32-piece-set
I've bought one at a slightly higher price. We'll worth it! I cut all around my garden up to a concrete wall and the edges of the grass. No issues with spools snapping etc. Wish I bought one of these years ago
Yes! I have this exact same one. Purchased a couple years ago. I use mine to trim grass around log roll edging and it’s fantastic. Extremely sharp and battery lasts ages. A lot more convenient then a strimmer and a lot faster.
There are two attachments - the one in the pic is for grass and the other one for hedges, so id say it will do what you want it for
Yeah my thoughts exactly. I have a strimmer but this would be a lot handier if it did that job for me
That's what I need one for. Amazon sell this so there are plenty of reviews. Most refer to trimming hedges etc rather than grass. I just wonder if it would chew grass rather than cut it.
not sure why this is showing as expired. It is still £74.99 supplied by powertoolmate with free delivery. And - if it works- there is currently 10% cashback available on ManoMano purchases too (albeit on the pre-VAT amount), so the effective price IF cashback works is under seventy quid.
anyone know if makita do a bladed or metal version of this? im looking to replace my strimmer as i get fed up changing the spools ( they always seem to fall apart)
Arrgh mine still hasn't dispatched (annoyed)
Received mine today when I ordered on £62 Amazon deal from Germany weeks ago. Worth the wait build quality is as expected and even came with a spare line spool. If you have the batteries already highly recommended.
OK thanks, mine was 4th so still in with a chance of getting it.
