Voted hot as good deal. Still detest "blind bag" retail model however, the practice should be banned and Lego in particular should be better than that.

Tiny Arcade Atari 2600 Game - £19.99 (Free Click & Collect) @ Smyths Toys

The Jr was released in 1986 according to Wikipedia, the original 2600 VCS was released in 1977, so the hardware which was already very limited by cost, was really dated by then. The Atari 400/800 computer (comparable to the commodore 64), which also had a cartridge slot was released in 1979, and the Amiga 500 in 1987.

I just found it now. It was an Atari 2600 Junior Console. I had Ghostbusters to play on it too but it was so hard I gave up on it. You had to go down a sewer on a rope and a ghost would cut you so you would fall. I always wanted to have Pitfall on the Atari when I visited Toys R US. I remember always getting frustrated with my dad because he always used to beat me on the console. I was only about 6 years old at the time. I did used to enjoy this game I had called Enduro though. That was my favourite game on the console.

The Atari 2600 vcs, or Atari? I only got to play on an Atari 2600 late in its life at a friend house, by which time it was very dated and my brother had a ZX81 and I'd played lots of games in the arcades, so I never got to be a fan of their console. Atari also made the excellent Atari 400/800 computer, and many of my favourite arcade machines, including Space duel, Asteroids, tempest, Battlezone, centipede, millipede, missile command etc. One of the hardware designers went on to design the chipset in the Amiga.

I... actually liked playing ET on my 2600. Didn't like the falling back down the hole, or the bloke that keeps taking you away, but i quite liked finding all the peices and the right spot to call my ship from. Mind you, i'm also quite enjoying playing Battlefield2042, so maybe i shouldn't be listened to.

Sounds like a commodore 64?

All mie got delivered today. Honestly thought they’d be cancelled.

So jealous I missed that! (lol)

Around £101 more than I like to pay for my Garmin watches tbh

It's possible she's touched the screen somehow, but sounds more its buggy or broken even. I'd get her to contact Garmin (or the retailer) and get it replaced. NB - part of the reason I love the Fenix watches (and forerunners) is there's to touchscreen to accidently touch!

Oh yeah it's still a great sports watch for the money, and even with the screen always on it'll easily outlast any android Wear or apple watch by some days. Despite my earlier joke it's no toy!

Pokémon Trading Card Game: 25th Anniversary Sinnoh Starters 3 Pack - £2 @ Smyths instore

Jumbo cards down to £2

Well worth buying - these are going to be highly sought after after Christmas.

I've framed a bunch, they are going on the wall.

they have the specialised jumbo card binder which includes base set pikachu on their site (& seemingly every store) at £10.99émon-trading-card-game-25th-aniversary-binder/p/197704 this folder is the same size as the standard A5 folder that holds 4 card they even resized the jumbo cards slightly at the start of this generation of cards (sword & shield sets), making them a little smaller to make it work. to my knowledge this may be one of the few if only times the created a binder or jumbo cards.

Agreed. These are for collectors, or making a display out of jumbo cards. There's not a wide range of toploaders/protectors that fit to have the cards individually out, best thing is the celebrations binder made for these first partner packs atm

These are those oversized cards that nobody really knows what to do with. If you’re thinking of buying these for a child who likes Pokémon cards, I’d suggest spending a little bit more and just buy them a regular booster pack instead.
