Last time Yeovil Cineworld did a SFF/SIF screening was at least a couple of years ago.
I emailed the cinema a few times to ask why they'd stopped doing screenings but they just kept replying that it was nothing to do with them and to contact SFF/SIF!
5 star
How did you get to see so early?
Oh I didn't know Cineworld did secret screeings
It was also leaked onto the internet as an awards consideration screener - only DVD quality though
Yeah as others have said it was a secret screening at Cineworld. Wish they did more of them to be honest, it's great fun going in and not knowing what film you're watching until it starts lol.
It was my first one since I have just changed from Odeon Limitless. Great atmosphere not having any clues on what you will be watching!
Yeah I love them. I think you have to be pretty open minded with films to enjoy the secret screenings though. Too many people go to them expecting to see the latest big budget action films or Marvel/Star Wars films etc, and then go away disappointed and moan about it. I've seen Now You See Me, Hidden Figures, Molly's Game, Green Book and a few others, which have all been great.
I wish they'd show the occasional older film too mind (not as secret screenings), even if they just showed a single showing in each cinema per month. I'd love to see classics like Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Fifth Element or the original Blade Runner.
Enjoy!
Well. We're off to a good start then
I saw it early last month also as it was the Cineworld secret screening.
They do many screenings exclusive to people with the Cineworld Unlimited Card. Sometimes secret, sometimes not. They have one for Vice tomorrow I believe and Glass on Thursday!
yeah that is true. Hasn't been many dvdscreeners leaked this year in comparison to others.
Odeon have a similar sort of thing where they release clues and it is the same sort of film so knew what to expect. I'm glad that they are usually smaller films since they may not have been on my radar to start with!
In regards to showing older films, I would be completely down for that! Managed to see Jurassic Park in cinemas a couple years ago at my local independent which was a blast but it would be great if other cinema chains were to do it as well. Managed to see The Breakfast Club randomly at Odeon last year as well!
Think it says once you've booked a ticket
Only the 19th!
