thanks for sharing, very cool tool and much easier than other older backup methods, no intention of getting a free account but knowing I've got a backup of my 20K odd of tracks is very comforting. anyone using this, remember to revoke access when done.
No and no.
Nope, I have a Revolut account, which is free to anybody who wants one.
It's an online lite bank account, which allows you to create a "disposable" virtual debit card, which you can use for online payments.
You can "burn" these disposable cards at any time in the app and generate a new one.
So every time you sign up to Spotify, it's a new card number.
The main benefit of this feature is security, you can pay for something online, burn your card and then it won't matter if the card details are stolen/hacked - because the card is dead and cannot be used again. (edited)
Amazing. Thank you. I'll have a look into it as I just used the last card I have for another month of Spotify.
That's for new members only and this is for previously premium customers that cancelled before 14th April
Only if you cancelled after 14th April
Possibly cancelled after 14th April?
“Offer available to users who already tried Premium but who don’t have a problem creating a new email to sign up with”
Anyway this is a stupid offer considering you can get 6 months free for a £1.99 spend at Currys
Done people might not want the hassle of creating another account/transferring playlists.
No hassle whatsoever ..
This is neat, thanks for the tip!
They check for previously used payment cards too. How do you get around that? New PayPal account each time once you run out of cards?
NP. I think if you actually buy something, the disposable card is automatically destroyed.
When you sign up for Spotify, it's just an identity check, I think you have to manually destroy it once it's processed.
