Guys on overclockers forums can't get one either.

Nvidia's own page sent you to Scan and didn't load.

Managed to get one, was refreshing nvidias page from 1pm to 1:06pm and then was redirected to scan. Took until 1:38 to check out, the website completely crashed while payment was authenticating but received a confirmation email and money has been taken!

I got one.YAAAAAY. It took about 10 mins to complete,from pressing the buy now button on the nvidia website to order complete.

Funny thing is,the order would not complete selecting free delivery,i had to pick 1-2 day delivery @ £12 odd,scamming sods.

I wish it had more VRAM, I've never upgraded to a card that didn't have double the VRAM of my last card. I've gone from 1 to 2gb to 4gb to 8gb over the past 10 years. Buying a new card with 8gb feels odd.

Absolute joke launch. Was trying to buy just 1 card from 12.50 - 2.00pm and had an FE in the basket for 50 mins without being able to complete checkout. 3 times I clicked complete payment and it reset to basket after about a 10 min wait each time. The final time it wiped my basket and it was gone. Looks like once again eBay will be the only winners out of this debacle once again, as within mins of launch people are listing on eBay for ridiculous prices.

Managed to get to stage 2 of checkout after eventually managing to confirm the free delivery option but the site constantly crashed / timed out despite repeated attempts to proceed to payment and the site eventually decided my basket was empty and the item was then no longer available. Absolute p*ss take once again.

Dissapointed with this, was online 10 mins before 1pm refreshing on nvidia site. When 1pm came I got errors and then when finally got to scan and had one in basket waited ages then it said you have nothing in your basket. Luckily I managed to get a Zotac one from Ebuyer while all this was happening so hopefully I'll have that tomorrow. Looks like it's sold out everywhere now.

Trying a rush job to beat AMD to the punch?

Ended up being mostly fruitless since AMD released cards which are both competitive in benchmarks and much, much cheaper in price (in the case of the 6900XT). Hurrah for short-sighted corporate greed.

AMD have a policy in place, they've given pointers, as to how sellers can best avoid scalpers, they welcome sellers to reach out for further advice too. Whether it works or not (unlikely), is another question. (edited)
