sorted byHmmm, considering they aren’t on sale yet I seriously doubt that.
Maybe they were just shopping trolleys that looked like lawnmowers?
Just wonder if it will be the usual wild goose chase, with each store getting 2 or 3 of these at best.....
Ive got something similar and i don't even bother to remove the oil before i store it (i know i'm satan ) and honestly its never skipped a beat, had it 5 years and it takes some real abuse
It's know help to you I suspect, but that saw was available in both my local Lidl stores
So does mine lol as long as you don't throw the lawnmower it'll be fine
Yep, no problem with it being plastic from me.
Called in 3 different Lidl stores tonight on way home from work at 9pm to 10pm. Staff were busy putting out tomorrows special buys, however these are marked as delayed and will not be on sale tomorrow. Most likely Brexit or the Suez canal debacle! Might save some of you a wasted journey.
As usual
My 2 local stores had everything except the petrol lawnmowers.
Unleaded is what I put in mine unless it's a two-stroke engine.
Thanks for confirming.
DaveGoldwig - Apologies to for doubting you.
thanks for the heads up!
True but then I’ve not adjusted the height of mine in years.
So you mean it’s like stop/start tech that you get with some cars ?
Let go of the lever and the engine cuts out ?
I have a Toro petrol mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine and it operates exactly the same as yours.
There's no throttle, when you start it the engine just runs at a constant speed, there's no ignition switch and if you drop the lever by mistake or let go of it to pick up a stone or toy or something, the engine stops, though I overcame this irritating feature with a velcro strap which i wrap around the lever so that it runs continually.
Also it was advertised as "No oil changes ever" which I consider a terrible idea and a false economy considering that the supplied bottle of oil was basic SAE30 mineral oil which deteriorates with use and age, and there's very little oil in these engines anyway. I ignore that and change the oil annually.
But to answer your question, yes this does seem to be the "modern way", I agree that its a backward step considering what we had previously, but I doubt you'll find that other makes are any different. (edited)
Hi, you have it in one except unlike stop/start cars you have to physically start it each time by pulling the chord! Seems strange and could be an issue if starting gets difficult overtime (like all my previous petrol mowers). However it does seem to cut well so I will keep it and see how it goes over a couple of months.
More like a dead man's switch on a train than stop/start on a car.
Yep, plastic deck is a deal breaker for me.
So if the deck got holed/damaged would a warranty claim be valid?
Ebay have 10% discount from selected sellers, might be worth a try
Suzy had a blockage? Oooo er
How much is it?
Herne bay had two yesterday.
Thanks
Plenty in my local Lidl, there was about a dozen of these there 15 minutes ago
