- Renewed my railcard last week by the 24th as the email advised to qualify for the offer.Discount never appeared I was told its for new railcard purchases only not existing ones.So why did they send the email to me twice ?Telling me to purchase a card before 24th Sept to qualify for a discount on a future trip.I did never got the code as when I rang they said its for new customers only. The offer email didn't state that though. They are a bunch of crooks, if I'm registered with them its obvious I'm not a new customer so why waste my time?
- Doesn’t work for me shows as £30 and no details of the £10 offer
“Only the original, named recipient of this email can use this discount code offer to book tickets for any travel date. “ (edited) - You'll save more than this booking direct with the line operator
- Just bought a Two Together card and it’s not showing any discount on train tickets?
- The lack of railcards for non student aged people is a joke considering the price of trains in this country. Germany tend to do it best with their trains and the railcard season passes they offer at 25%, 50% and 100% cards.
Plus a 100% card in Germany (which covers the entire country) is just over €4,000 whereas where I live in the Midlands a season ticket to just London is a ridiculous £10,160 (without Tube travel). (edited) sivilis3d28/09/2021 14:17
Can you choose the start date for the card?
Afraid not! Railcards start when purchased! 🌞- This gives you 10 off the train tickets you purchase. After you buy the rail card. Its not a discount off the rail card..
- Is there any suitable railcard for 33 years old me. All of them student young senior but not rail card for 30+ person

I've got this, pretty decent. Shame all of the other railcards are ageist or require you to travel in groups. Surely it's the single-occupancy car drivers that would be better targeted to help the environment- doesnt work unfortunetaly

You can get cheap tickets depending on your travelling dates.
I purchased 2 return tickets from N******** to Manchester 3 weeks in advance for £37.90 and £39.75 respectively. (edited)- Got to love this site. Getting heat which is more than anybody trying to get this "deal"

It's insane.
Self employed here so don't need to travel to the same place every day, but when I need to go to london, it's £45 return.
I live about 30 miles from centre of London.
Starting to get to the point where they'll be undercut by Uber! And you'd get to sit down.pablo_el_diablo29/09/2021 12:39

Even if it was 150 miles it'd still be a ripoff.- Can you choose the start date for the card?
- I got a similar email but only £5 off
- No mention for me. Would definitely buy if I can get the offer as I go back and forth from Manchester - London once a month!
- Just bought a new railcard last week 😩😩
- Could come in handy since we've all run out of fuel.

75% card? I'm not aware of that. The 50% card doesn't reduce all prices by 50%, just those for flexible tickets (Flexpreis); it gives 25% off on “Sparpreis” (you have to use the trains mentioned on the ticket).
But yeah, train tickets in Germany are cheaper compared to the UK if you invest a little bit of time.Tatwamasi29/09/2021 12:25

A few years ago now, but my wife and I caught a train from Krakow to Warsaw (3hours +) and we got first class tickets for £12.50 and free refreshments on board. The train was in really good condition too.
The cost to travel in the UK is ridiculous. The only place we've ever experienced as being as expensive, if not more, is in the US.- I've never had any inspector ask to see a railcard, always choose to travel with either a job centre plus card locally or disabled railcard longer distances. Do I own either of these?...
- Badly worded deal. Buy a rail card for £30 and get £10 off a train journey which can only be used on a ticket costing £20 or more.

No- I would recommend a digital one in any case - I've been waiting for my plastic one for nearly three weeks now.
- Next best deal?
- Does anyone know how to add the code to the app? I'm having such a trouble and the trainline on Facebook aren't telling me how to do it just that it is possible

If you are in the South East a Network Railcard gives a discount, but it's subject to some restrictions e.g. a time and also a £13 minimum fare Monday-Friday.
Season tickets gets you a Gold Card, similar discounts to a Network Railcard in the South East but no minimum fare (also 1/3rd off the tube). A trick is to buy a specific cheap annual season that costs £156 and will give you those same discounts - if interested I can explain further.
If not in the south East there are a few more niche railcards for specific areas. (edited)
