Just right click the link and select copy URL.Then paste it into a message box and extract the promotion code.

Bought the Pixel 6 yesterday from Currys.
Asked for price match via webchat and was declined .

Called Currys on 0344 561 0000, Adviser agreed price match and it took seconds.

Once agreed it goes to their Approvals Teams, I asked if there was still a chance that it gets declined and she replied ' no, because management had communicated this out to everybody'.

Anyway, will wait for an email to confirm price match has gone through - then I can be 100% sure.

    Hope that helps!

Yea, this is normal. Also there are a ton of updates for the preinstalled apps on the play store.
Battery life won't be great for 3 to 4 days, so don't panic.
My pro went from an average of 4 to 5 hours to 9 to 10 hours screen on time, after 3 days.

No worries fella, let me know how it goes.

    Will do.
What I did find out from a webchat was the main reason some stores decline the offer is the P6/P6p are contract handsets. They'd be left with no stock to sell for contracts. And as the Pixels are going like hotcakes, maybe that's why some stores don't wanna give them away.

Hi I can’t find the link to do it online ?

"The Deal" is the link. Go to "Build your phone plan" change the contract length to 12 months and put the max device cost to £350 odd. Then you'll have
12 months of £8.50 device plan to pay off.

Finally pair it with the cheapest airtime plan which is £28 over 12 months.

When you get your phone, use the My Vodafone app to pay off 12 X £8.50 device cost / plan.

As per contract, once the device cost / plan is paid off, you can cancel the airtime without penalty. There you have it. I'm genuinely surprised no-one has pinned how to do this on the thread!

Saves folks from making a wasted effort going in-store. Note you'll have a credit check via this method but you'll get a phone....

    Hope this helps!

I can see a few going back to shops in the near future if folk can get this deal.To be honest, having had them both for a couple of days, I'd say that these Vodafone prices are the correct prices for the 2 phones. They are good phones, but not brilliant.

Oh it hurt. DPD are coming to take my pixel 6 pro pre-order back and hopefully the same guy will give me my new pixel 6 lol

By the way guys, I rang Voda sales, asked for new connections team and asked to order the phone via them as a payg option.

The chap on the phone gladly obliged. Just say you want to buy payg at online price of £441 and they should allow it. Don't even mention the phone plan/xtra plan malarky.

They charged me a small delivery fee so I'm paying £447.99 in total but to be honest ordered tonight, delivery tomorrow and I don't need to go faffing into a store to try and wrangle the deal. Can't go wrong.

Just had a call from the complaints department with reference to the Stadia.
Apparently they have a backlog of orders from 3rd November, and as such they anticipate that there will be a delay of up to a further 5 working days for emails to be sent out.
How true this is, I don't know, but just thought I'd provide what update I have.

Speak to Tze in store, he knows all about the deal as he has processed multiple times today. He showed me there were 467 odd units of the stormy black colour in stock in the warehouse. (edited)

UPDATE and RECOMMENDATIONS after finally getting the phone paid and AirTime Cancelled:

    - Like most of the online orderers, my first order failed and I ordered second time with 24 months Unlimited Data of £27.
    - Today, on myVodafone app, it wasn't possible to pay off, so I went on chat, transferred 3 times and finally I could pay it with DEBIT card.
    - I asked to cancel AirTime but I was told to call Customer Service 0333 3043422
    - Very long wait, on and off waiting for Miguel to talk to contract teams, I was tranferred to Yvonne who asked whether I wanted to keep the number and I said no. She said it'll be fast and told me it was cancelled.
    - I asked about the first bill seen on myVodafone for £27, she said it won't happen.

I hope it worked because I can still see the plan, bill on myVodafone page. Will check it later today and contact them again just to make sure.

Will let you know tomorrow after phone arrives if I can pay off and cancel the contract.

For those with any pixel device on Android 12. I disabled adaptive battery. I disabled mobile data always On (so it stops searching if on wifi. Developer options). Enabled 'wifi throttling' (developer options)... Battery back to behaving normally..
I'm fairly sure it's the adaptive battery and mobile data always connected that is causing battery issues.

Also enabled 'adaptive connectivity'. I also found my cross device synching had been re-enabled, despite me never having enabled this (i believe did it automatically when updating to android 12. I've disabled this too, as not needed.

Further setting has AUTO re enabled.. Wifi scanning under Location services. This allows the phone to invisibly re-enable wifi when you turn it off!!! Can be a battery drain too... it really seems they are desperate to be gathering location and usage stats and circumvent their own privacy settings... 😡 (edited)

I cancelled the same day the contract started and never even activated the …I cancelled the same day the contract started and never even activated the eSIM. So I feel they they don't have a leg to stand on if they try to claim I have used any service.

Update: So I just called and it turns out that I'm already automatically getting a refund on 3rd December, however they state I'll only get £23 of the original £27 back. Turns out when I called up to cancel on 4th November (the day the phone arrived, the day after signing the contract) the representative didn't do it properly, so when I phoned back up on 7th November (after receiving a text message informing me of the pending bill) they cancelled it for real and are treating that as my end date.

Ridiculously they count the day I signed the contract as my first day, even though it was in the evening and the phone was not delivered to the following day.

I informed them that I had contract for less than 24 hours, without activating the SIM, so no usage would be attributed to my account so would not expect to pay for more than one day usage, certainly not five days!

They said that I have to call back in the next billing cycle after the 3rd December and they will sort it out. (phone back to get my £4 back)

Tried paying out phone on the app. Don't waste your time with the app, it's terrible. Don't waste your time trying to resolve app issues with CS on the phone, waste of time.

A joke because you've paid more and this is cheaper?

Correct. I preordered the 256gb pro model at £949, it arrived on launch day. It got exceptionally hot during setup also which kinda put me off. Even when I was charging it it got quite warm so don't know maybe I got a faulty unit.

And now I'm wondering whether I actually need the pro at all. Aside from the 120hz display, there's not much to shout about. The "ai features" for image editing are not exactly exclusive to this as they've been ported to other devices, so I might hang onto my Note 9 through til s22 launch. The video quality on this phone is also very underwhelming.

    As promised.

My phone order went through at approximately 17:30 and I received despatch confirmation from DPD at 22:48
My second order was for the 128 GB cloudy black Pixel 6 with the unlimited 24 month plan. I realise this colour doesn't actually exist for the 6, but that's the description on the order. They despatched and charged me for something, so let's hope it's actually a phone

If my experience in the shop (abbey centre, northern ireland) was anything …If my experience in the shop (abbey centre, northern ireland) was anything to go by, I can believe this will be a right hassle.First, was told it was in stock by the UK call centre, so I drove the 10 miles to the shop. Was told in the shop I can't buy it outright, it would need to be a £10 PAYG voucher too. I said oh ok fine. Then was told I need to get a contract to get it - that's when I flipped out (flip out number 1).Anyway, decided to proceed. Asked, can I put the £300 odd on my credit card, to which the lass said yes. Wife was going through the application then I was told I can't use the credit card to pay by another member of staff. That's when I flipped out for a second time. They have no idea what they're doing in the shop.Anyway, moved money around and was ready for the debit card payment. Then the credit check failed for my wife. Probably because she's not on the electoral register. Anyway, we tried again with me, and it failed because I was living at the same address! I flipped out again (3rd time!) and said ok look i'll just give you the cash for it! "No, we don't take cash". Stunning.Anyway, the bloke fixed the computer (probably cleared the cache) and it accepted me.Then was told, 'oh we dont have the phone in stock any more'.That's when I grabbed my coat and walked out Vodafone, total bellends.

Vodafone at Donegal place did it for me without any contract just straight pay as you go, if you are still looking to get your wife one. (edited)

Advice for everyone: When dealing with Vodafone customer service, or any other customer service for that matter, I recommend making a note of who you spoke to, the date/time, and what was discussed/agreed. Comes in handy when following-up on matters and shows that you're on the ball. (edited)

Totally get that, I don't know why everyone seems in a mad rush to pay off …Totally get that, I don't know why everyone seems in a mad rush to pay off the airtime contract, surely doing it, say, 6 months down the line is the same as calling immediately to pay it off.

I think you're confusing the Device Plan and the Airtime Plan. The 8.50pm cost in the image above is for the Device Plan (constituting the remaining £102 left of the phone price), which most of us are seeking to pay off instantly as a full payment of £102. You could theoretically just pay it monthly rather than in full (which as you've suggested is financially the same), but unless you pay in full and immediately cancel the Device Plan, you're also locked into the associated Airtime Plan, which is another £15-28 pm on top of the Device Plan payments (not shown in the above image). You can only exit the Airtime Plan by paying off the Device Plan early and in full.

TL;DR - yes there's no financial difference in paying off the Device Plan immediately versus monthly, but you can only exit the associated Airtime Plan via paying off the Device Plan in full, and as long as you pay for the Device Plan monthly you must also pay extra money each month for the Airtime Plan.

I would avoid cancelling direct debit, if they can't take the payment they will mark it as a late payment then default, this will affect you getting a mortgage or credit, if they take it you can always complain and get refunded, it's headache but better then getting a late payment on your file
