It does you are right. I said if you look at the Q&A it says it’s plastic and that is correct - it is plastic.
I’m not saying this isn’t a great deal but just wanted to give people the correct information. (edited)

I know right, millions of bees are still up in arms over being associated with a heating system

I bought both about 3 months ago (paid the RRP). Very stylish set and a great price now. Only down side is that the toaster is VERY slow.

I like the idea of how it fills and at the same time I don't. Surely dust and the like can get in much easier. Also noted that the interior is not metal and when asked twice what it was on Amazon the manufacturer refused to answer directly - gobbing on about 'meeting all safety standards'. I'll give it a miss

Is that an actual gaping hole in the top of a kettle? I'm guessing it closes somehow.

The only stainless part is in the base enclosing the heating element. The rest is plastic. Nice looking kettle, yet to use it as still deciding on colour!

I know. I've just this in the email and thought "great thats cheap for a kettle I can control using my Hive setup". How disappointing.

(PS I didn't really think you would get a wifi kettle for £16...but hey you never know😁 ) (edited)
