The lira has crashed so it now costs pennies to export items so they can retail Vestel products very cheaply. I would also like to know if this has a dual core or quad core processor as so many cheap sets are really laggy when changing channel etc.

These aren't made by Vestel in Turkey, these are made by UMC Poland, which was recently purchased by Sharp Corp, so it's actually Sharp's Polish factory.

They're not even remotely the same company they were then. They're pretty …They're not even remotely the same company they were then. They're pretty much not even a company at all. Just a brand name that gets stuck on cheap TV's from the likes of Vestel, etc. That doesn't mean the TV is necessarily bad but the Sharp name on it literally means nothing.

Not made by Vestel, made by Sharp's Polish TV manufacturing plant, previously known as UMC Poland. (edited)

Asda sell this exact same Android TV under the Polaroid brand. I have it and it's definitely not a vestel. I paid £299 and am very happy with it. I originally bought it for upstairs but really liked it, so it's now downstairs and the LG has been moved upstairs. It has 4 HDMI's, Component input, Composite input (Composite video shared with Component Luma (Y(Green))). It has 3 Usb sockets (2 standard and 1 micro Usb). A micro SD card can be used as internal or removable storage. I have a 128gb Sandisk micro SD formatted as part of the shared internal storage. Plenty of picture tweaking options. I have a Moga XP5X+ controller paired, but a standard Xbox One controller works fine too. My air mouse works on it, and my Bluetooth keyboard. The TV plays GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Chinatown Wars. I also have RetroArch Plus installed to play Amiga games and it works great. I transfer roms straight to the TV via the 'FTP Server for Android TV' app which is on the playstore. I also have the EZVIZ TV app installed so I can monitor and control my security cameras. Had it for over 6 months and very happy with it.

I got this from tesco for a similar price not long ago. Great TV but be warned that if you plan on watching anything on Disney+, the audio is tinny and hollow unless you watch on the lowest possible quality. Sharp are aware of the issue and have no intention of fixing it, it seems.

No longer manufactured in the same manner. Unfortunately Sharp are terrible now.
