It's a pile of junk... i have one from last year and it wouldn't pump up a car tyre... my battery indicator reads full but the minute you turn the pump on it drops to one bar.... really not worth the money46630073-bxyto.jpg46630073-nVxpi.jpg

Not sure if this helps but I have a very similar battery pump. It is enough to completely inflate a typical car tyre with some spare battery. It would not do 2 completely flat tyres.

    No chance

Small volumes of high pressure air Vs the large volumes of relatively low pressure air you need for a sib.

Also it's a handheld battery pump, sort of thing you'd use on bicycle tyres.

Agree, it can just about inflate one car tyre really slowly (20 mins) and then needs recharged.

I purchased one of these last year from Lidl and would highly recommend not to do the same to anyone else looking for such a product.

The original item was faulty and I returned to store the next day. It was replaced with a new item and whilst this works, it is incredibly noisy and the battery lasts such a short amount of time. The other frustrating factor is that the battery doesn’t hold its charge. So you can’t leave it fully charged and expect it to work when you need it - the battery will be dead!

I would highly recommend looking for an alternative if possible.

I hope this may help someone 🏻

I’ve just bought yesterday before reading comments here and only seemed to switch on when connected to plug. Said battery was full and so showed green on charger but the second you take off charge it switches off and on button does nothing. Took back this morning and changed for another but finding same issue so not sure if user error but following instructions as far as I can see. Based on reviews I think returning might be best option even if can get to work! Was getting only for bike for punctures on bike rides as find the small hand pumps take forever.

I found that it actually wasn’t inflating at all. It said it was but it didn’t sound like it was pumping correctly and the battery soon gave way.

The store was very good in offering a replacement and that still just about works, but in hindsight, I wish I’d have got a refund and purchased one of the many others available elsewhere. Hope this may help

Yeah but, by the time it looks like the back of an F40 it will just look good sitting on your garage shelf

I have this, It does nothing, I don't understand how they are still selling this... It has a 12v adapter to power it straight from the car, still doesn't inflate... Just bad product... Got it with 10£ from the Sale area... Very disappointed..

I tried this and the plastic surround on the plug-in adapter melted!
    DO NOT BUY.

  19. welshblob's avatar
Not sure why this one would be so bad as these inflators are everywhere now. Had a vonhaus of for a few years and it's been really good amazon.co.uk/Von…QPW

Also Lidl sold a twin inflator kit in their 20v parkside range one for tyres and one for air beds for about this price but of course you need the battery as well.

I have one and I can top up 4 car tyres with it, no problem. Works for me . But battery drains very quickly indeed.

I have one and it does still pump even with one bar, I guess that indicator is not very reliable. I don't think this portable and battery powered compressor is meant for large jobs, but I find it useful for the occasional car tyre top up or if you are on the road with a slow poncture.

I hate this very unit which was a gift Christmas 2019. Only used a handful of times as a top up when the local fuel station airline is out of action.

Battery doesn't last a great deal of time, but enough to inflate one tyre from flat and check/top up the rest.

Like all these inflators, it's fairly noisy in operation and the metal connector does get rather warm!

I have the Oasser P1S off Amazon, it's pretty good. I use it regularly to top up the air in the tyres of our three cars. Battery lasts long enough for my needs, you can always plug it in to the car 12V supply if the battery does fail on you. If you use it for several minutes at a time the air tube can get hot, but think they all suffer from this. If you can wait, you may be able to get it on a Lightning Deal for sub £30 which it's been several times in the last year.

Thanks for review, I was about to buy one thinking its so much small than the normal ones, would fit in the glove box "just in case" it was needed, however I did think if I never use it and the charge drops down too low on battery it might stop taking a charge

Get a track pump for around the same price IMO. Works amazingly on bikes and works fine on cars. I've not used a petrol station air pump in years. (edited)

Got an aldi one few years back, ideal for pumping up footballs (which I do a lot) and bike tyres .. never tried it in a car but it did come with an adaptor which plugs into the cigarette port for power to give it shine extra juice. Id say this was similar so can do a job. Be nice if they were cheaper though

Terrible pile of !. Had one and it lasted days. Do not waste your money! The best ones are Honda/bmw etc ones. Cheaper than this on eBay. Had mine over 6 years with hard use.If you want to inflate air beds then Lidl/Aldi do cigar lighter one for about £5.99 which works great and lasting over 4 years

Dont buy anything for a car tyre with a screw on valve. They are a nightmare at the best of times usually with a very fine thread too. You lose more air taking it off then you have just put in.....doing it on the side of the road with cars rushing by is horrid. Aldi doing one with a normal click valve currently.

    This isn't really a compressor then? It's a pump?
  38. kodivius's avatar
Just like many people above this is indeed a piece of junk. Left it running on a tyre for more than 10 mins and nothing. No increase in pressure whatsoever.

This was my quickest lidl's return ever. 30 minutes (included queue at the checkout when returning).

Mi Portable Electric Air Compressor is much better option like others mentioned. It actually works.
