sorted byPhilips sold the name and TV and monitor business to TP Vision a long time ago. The TVs (and monitors) are made in China, by the same company that makes AOC monitors. The actual Philips company now mainly makes medical equipment, as the margins on that are much higher.
Yea just be aware that the 2022 "The One" will actually be two different models, one with a 60hz panel, the other with a 120hz panel.

Here are a few customer reviews.
I think this could be a purchase for the brave from what I've read!

The trouble is I really want to like this TV. My heart says buy it and my head says don't.
It's a bit like owning an Alfa Romeo! (edited)
Govee immersion lights strip
Comes on offer sometimes near £45-£50 so keep an eye out if not in a rush to buy
worth the money I bought one just before christmas and it's simply the best TV I have purchased to date for the bedroom
2021
Different stand colour better getting the 9 series 4 Sided Ambilight £50 more from Curry's currys.co.uk/pro…tml (edited)
The big thing i like about this tv oddly is the stand! Nice and heacy, premium feel and it swivels!!
Spot on, and there's the 65pus9206 in the 2021 range if you want a 100/120hz panel version of 'The One'... and its some £300 more, so expect similar premium in the 2022 range
I think they were asking what's the difference between the 8546 and 8506
The differences between 85x6 model versions comes down to fairly trivial differences of frame colour and which remote control is included (either with the full keyboard on back or not) and possibly stand design (although I'm less certain on that - I think stand design can differ depending of screen size more than these subtle model versions).
It's also used as a means of retailers being able to decide whether to price match or not, i. e. they'll turn round and tell you an 8546 is not the same as 8506 if they don't want to match a price. (edited)
Previous models had this and all TVs I've had previously have had this. Useful for someone who is hard of hearing who needs the headphones but the TV can continue to play through the speakers. It's a common feature.
Ah that’s interesting to know. Wasn’t aware some had that as a feature.
Shame its also an extra £200
Re badge just like JVC, Toshiba, Bush etc
Nope
Still a good price imho. I think the screen is different on 65 and larger models to the 43-58 models but good deal.
Curry's is also selling this TV for £499!
Typically speaking something that starts with a 6 after the ‘pus’ is the lowest model, then 7, 8, 9 going up. For future proofing you want hdmi 2.1 and 120hz panel.
Yeah, it looks to be that the Curry's one is silver whilst the OP's is anthracite
It's not a Vestel. Phillips haven't sold the rights to ambilight.
Edit- I'm 99% sure. (edited)
The images do show android TV, but they keep saying Google assistant In the text implying it's got the assistant app and not the full android TV.
Also last I checked Apple TV isn't available on android TV, which these seem to support. (edited)
I would like to know too

That looks pretty good would you go for that or the sony x89j or the recent hisense deals?
X89J blows this out of the water.
Apple TV is on my Google TV stick and my android Phillips TV now became available a few months back now
This is a 'full' Google android TV, it has all the functionality of the latest android release.
I upgraded from an older ambilight t and the operating system is spot on.
Yeah. I know. It's more than most of us can spend.
A bit too extravagant for me I think.
