sorted byI was told no on the phone to them. New lines only.
Sims arriving today and tomorrow. Have been looking for ~£10 EE sim for a while as ready to switch from Three which just doesn't work in cities any more. Was expecting around 10GB (never use more than 5) so this seems a good deal.
Not sure why the 10GB for £10 / 12 months is hotter than this deal - perhaps I'm missing something. (edited)
Re-rang this morning and luckily had a proper lovely girl on the phone and she sorted it all out. Tori, if you're reading this I love you!!!!
Have sent you a code via PM

I didn't say anything really, I just called later in the day ~5.30pm and said I'd bought a deal online and was emailed to call you. They asked for the reference number then the lady said I'm just going to clear it with my manager and came back 20 seconds later and said it was fine. She couldn't find it and put it through as that exact deal on their system so did it as 25gb and then added double data to honour the 50gb.
Have you bought it online and then called via the reference or just tried to do it directly over the phone? They can't seem to do any extra discounts over the phone when I called either which is a pain.
Not sure if that helps at all!
Hope it worked! (edited)
Third time I called, the rep accepted it. I didn't do anything special, I just tried several times. I was ready to pay even £15 though by that time because I was ready to give up. But I didn't say anything and they accepted it.
The second person I spoke to had no issue, I didn’t need to ask for it. But I would have asked them to honour the price of their website, otherwise it shouldn’t have allowed it to go through and waste a credit check. That could negatively impact people.
While they can only use only one discount code, they can add multiple loyalty discounts on top of it. They’ve done that for a few others on here and mine. Mine looks like this:
The first adviser said they will have to delete one code, they suggested leaving the student code for £12 per month. I declined and said I’d call back later. Instead I called back right away and it wasn’t an issue, £10.80 agreed

Working now? (edited)
I'm definitely calm, by saying bloody charmin' i thought you would realise i was joking, apologies for my poor sense of humour
They have the best network in terms of speed and they know it, if you go elsewhere then you make a sacrifice for far cheaper costs. It's a long time since I've been on O2 and Vodafone but I'll be tempted to swap if they mess me about.
Works well as ready have an unlimited sim that we can move data around with
Did you use a code?
Yes
All good. I called and they honoured the deal for 10.80 (edited)
You should call them again and request your pac code. They will put you through to the retentions team. Tell them what deal your flat mate is getting and or show them this deal. Say that if you can’t get the same deal, you will leave. They should match it. It’s bad business to let a customer go.
O2 from my experience can’t compare to EE. Of course that depends on where you live. (edited)
I've just went on the app then contacted them through chat, my son's sim was going to be cancelled on the 1st May cos they wouldn't do me a good deal, the bloke I got today was great, he's just given me 20gb 5g data, unlimited mins and texts for my son's sim only, £10 per month for 12 months, I'm more than happy with that lol
Congrats, that is a good
I have to wait until May as there's still money owed on this current contract. No point me paying £150+ to change contract but yes I'll get on the chat and see what they can do in May.
Thank you, just goes to show they will give a decent deal when you tell them your leaving lol
My sim only is up in May too, they said I have to ring them 30 days before and they'll see what they can do, I'm hoping for the same deal that I've just got for my son, if not I'll be telling them I'm leaving haha (edited)
Yeah never be loyal to a corporation they're only interested in money and as a consumer I'm only interested in saving money and getting the best deal I can.
Exactly, me too especially with all the price hikes on everything
Sorry only had 1 spare from my perksatwork site (useless to me as I get 30% through work)
I will keep an eye over the next few days to see if it refreshes to a new code and sent it over for you
Sent you a message ! Good luck
Thanks for posting the deal! (edited)
Helpful CS staff at EE are scarce commodity. Top result 💥
I signed up for the deal on Saturday 14th May online, so only a few days ago. The ‘Get deal’ link should still take you to the page. I’ve just tried it again now and it’s still working for me.
Clearing cookies/cache or using a private browsing tab/window should also help if it isn’t loading. (edited)
Unfortunately they wouldn’t budget but managed to get this discount
